Suspension Help Please!!!

I am having some dragstrip troubles. I can't even ease into WOT without the front wheel coming off the ground on me.

Stats:

Me: 6'2" 230 lbs.

The 14:
Muzzy stainless exhaust
BMC Filter
PC III
Flies Out
Front end Strapped
Rear Muzzy lowering links (middle hole)
Stock Wheelbase

My best times are 10.30s w/ 1.83 60'

Can I get this bike in the 9.9's with what I have?

Is there anyway to tighten up the rear? Do I need to go to the lowest hole on the link? If so, how much trouble will that get me in with the oil pan nut? Keep in mind, I like to do street riding regularly! Thanks for any help!

Smokin' can give you launch tips - Lee weighs like 100lbs

The stock bike can do 9's with great skill.........with an avg sized rider.....

How far are you leaning forward? When launching.
You might look at extending the swingarm.

Smokin -hope I did not step on toes.

See how Smokin leans over the front...

Great launch!

I feel like I am leaning over pretty far. I really need to get a vid of my runs to make sure.

I will make sure to be more conscious of that next time and see if that makes a difference.

I was thinking of stretching it a little, but wanted to get into the 9's before I went to a longer wheelbase.

Is the rear shock on our bikes adjustable, such as rebound and compression dampening? If there is a way to tighten it up, I would like to know!

Thanks for the input so far.

Get an air shifter.
It will allow you to leave harder without upsettting the bike tring to get ready for second gear. It will also help with your ET, as most people can't shift as fast as a air shifter reguarless of what they think or say.

Yes an air shifter will help you get that 9 second pass ..As ninja 12 said ... When you pick you feet up to shift to second gear it will cause you to wheely and not to get to full throttle .... An air shifter will let you keep you feet down till after you shift to second gear ...

Pull your strap as far down as you can go ( just off the fender ) Set you rear shock to the hardest compression setting( upper adjustment ) ... Set the rebound to the slowest rebound setting (lower adjustment) See you owners manual .....

Put on a 16 tooth front sprocket ..That will give you a little more wheel base and help you leave the line easier .... Get over the top of the bars and push down.... Keep trying you will get it with more seat time . Yes you can go 9s with what you have , all that you need is a 1.60s in the 60 foot and you got 9s ... Hope this helps ..... Smokin..
