08 14 and 08 Busa report
Motorcycle.Com just did a report on the the two 08 models.
I had a quick read - very quick, and found an interesting comment that the Fuel mixture was very rich at one point.
Would this be related to a new bike and after so many K's the ECU leans it off? As in part of the running in period?

The busa boys are always first to shoot down any positive feedback on the 14.Just an observation...Cheers I read on the org.com site the two 08 s Busa 14 that the busa with a smeg pipe and map had 8 more hp than the same 08 14???? Interesting

Who has a Brocks 08 ZX14 map? I don't, I'm running the temporary map sent with my new SMEG cause I'm waiting for Brock's to finish mapping for the 08 so any comaprison IMO is premature. Lets not forget the ZX is lighter also. I know from Brocks perspective he needs to develop the Busa system cause he'll sell 4 or 5 times as many systems as ZX14's. I own a 2001 Busa now but after riding my new 08 ZX14 for a month now, she's going up for sale soon. Besides who can stand the ugly ass on the new Busa! I will admit that I'll miss the storage space under the seat.

You are right there is no 08 maps yet.I called Brocks Yesterday and said about a week more.We will see. I too own a 08 that has a Smeg sitting on the work bench waiting I do like the improved low of the 08,compared to my 06.Big differance.The thing will snap power wheelies in 2nd gear.My 06 would with the flies removed,piped mapped.... and a nudge would come up in 2nd gear.. I read with much disgust some jerkalist ( journo) that in his opinion the Kawasaki 1400 was a faster better bike all round than the new model 2008 Hayabusa . When are they going to get people who actually ride the bikes over a longer period of time than a few hours or days do give their moronic opinions on such subjects . Would you go to a dentist who has two hours worth of experience to pull a tooth ? (probably wrong analogy) but its just as painfull too read these so called expert giving out what they think is gospel to the readers who generally have more experience in such matters , I have had the opportunity to ride both bikes over extended periods and found the Hayabusa comes out on top in every respect .
It's not saying the kawasaki is a bad product far from it but for my two cents worth and years of riding under my belt the Kwaka just dosn't cut it as a total package like the Hayabusa .
I had both bikes to the limit on a track thanks to a very dear friend who runs a riding school and the 2008 bus dosn't romp away from the Kawasaki but it DOES beat it in all times BUT only by the smallest margin .But still is does and that matters to some people. If you want to compare something get a two day rider dealer , they let you go for a blast ,and make your own minds up .Its your hard earned cash and bragging rights at stake. As for looks , the great debate rages and I think the Hayabusa is the prettiest thing next to perfection . This is from the other site.Thought you guys might get a kick...Cheers

All good....I have a friend that has a Busa 1st Gen.He can say nothing good about the 14.Its funny to me because most of us here have had a busa or two.He is so anti kawi...Guess he knows the real deal and does not want save face..Take Care...
