KAWI HONORED NEW FRAME!!!!!! GIMME SOME IDEAS WHILE IT'S TORE DOWN
Motorcycle Mall of Belleville, NJ called me about 10 minutes ago and told me that Corporate Kawasaki has agreed to replacing my frame and the neck bearings costing me absolutely ZERO!!!!! There is a God!!! They said I'm looking at 2-3 weeks. I already gave it a month in my own mind. Now at the advice of STARR I am looking to do some labor-free mods thanks to the dealership.
Anyone have any ideas?
What is it ceramic coat your exhaust? How much is it? Does anyone know someone that does it in the North Jersey area?
If it's not too much of a hassle for them, I am thinking of snatching the rims/tires off the bike and painted the spokes black and polishing the lips.
Aluminum fan is a must.
Might do black braided brake lines if I can find some.
Any suggestions would be nice.

Wow, that is good news!
Not labour free, but porting and valvesprings would be in my mind....
Braided lines will not be labour free, they do not need to disassemble them to instal on new frame...

hmmmmmmm.
What are your future plans for the bike?
Larger carbs (machine out the carbs = more air flow), larger injectors for NOS or turbo charging, over bore= (Muzzy piston kit), head work= port polish, valve springs also.
All on pump gas...
Aftermarket exhust?
That is all I can think of.
High volume fuel pump (aftermarket)
On the other hand, Ride the dang thing and enjoy!

Not for nothing...this thing is blistering fast enough for what I do with the bike and that's ride long distance with relative comfort. Every once in a while I will twist the throttle just so that my club members and such can get a real good view of my brake light but other than that I just want fast everyday reiability. I might just take your advice and just ride it, lol.

Not really interested in engine work. I am happy with how fast it is right now. Concentrating on making it better. Cooler. Stop better. Handle nicer. Not faster. Love racing but not for me. I got enough on my plate when it comes to the bike community. A few people on here who know me know what I'm talking about.

You may be happy with it now, but everything gets slower and slower the more miles you rack up.
13000 since last Aug, 3200 on Muzzy turbo stage 1. Not getting slow yet however and dead reliable, no oil consumption or overheating.

Definitely doing the fan and engine ice. Even though the lines aren't part of the dismantle I might just have him do them anyhow. As for handling, I may hold off on any real attempt for superb handling becsuse funding won't allow it right now. I may retrieve my rims from him to at least swap out the tires for Michelin Pilot Powers. My club's favorite tire.

Do NOT hold off on the RaceTec springs! Trust me, have them install the rear spring ($125 I believe from the dealer) no matter what else you do to the bike. I would do both rear and front if I was you, at same time, but not required. Just get that rear replaced, the stocker is garbage, every magazine rider agreed on that along time ago.
Don't worry about brakes and lines, that is something you do yourself on a weekend. Couple of hours max to do front and rear, easy job.
Engine Ice and Muzzy fan most definitely while its apart. Could even have them wire in a override rocker switch for the fan, too. I would.
Oh hell, almost forgot the most important thing: Buy and have them install a radiator rock guard!! you plan on taking your bike on long trips, that guard is not an "option", trust me. There's been a few guys on here that have already rocked there radiators and it aint cheap. heh heh I dont even have to look up the price for that radiator, I can tell you right now you cant pull that kinda change out of your wallet. That kinda change requires plastic cards.

Oh yeah, if you hold off on the rear spring install, it will cost you around $200 to have the dealer install it later. Thats what I was charged, because the dealer said its a difficult install.

I've gotten ideas like V-stacks, rad guard, springs, engine ice, Muzzy's fan, intergrated tail light, smoked windscreen, "carbs" (lol,) and a host of other things which will cause me to miss a meal or two trying to accomplish. Time to start hitting the web sites with the card. Thank you all. I will keep you all abreast of course with what I do for now.
