My 08 Busa times

my best for today was
1.554
4.040
6.092
120.46
7.862
9.362
150.10
I was 206 in shorts this morning, so for the first day out I am happy. There is definately 9.20's in the bike. I did hit 121.32 in the 1/8th once and 150.89
in the 1/4 Wheel base is 60 inches so I was pretty happy to go 1.55 60ft did not even try to lift the front wheel so I can get after it more.

Seems a little slower then your 14 and a long stock wheelbase 14 is no where near 60 in... how fast did you go on your 14 at SWB?

I thought I went 9.42 but can only find a 9.46 ticket. It's about identical to a 14 IMO. I feel 9.20's are there at 60 inches. and my best at 62.5 on the 14 was 9.14, my average was 9.34. The Busa and 14 are so close, set-up the same it would be hard to tell what bike you where riding. I also always ran with the air cleaner out of the 14 and it picked me up a good 1/2 tenth.

I too agree that you did well for not alot of seat time Bently but your 14 was a '06 wasn't it? I wished that someone would get to the bottom of the '08 14 and see "IF" there's a power gain or not.

I thought it was figured out that on the dyno the 08s were not any stronger at peak hp. I really don't think an 08 14 will run any better then an 06 but maybe I'm wrong.

I musta missed the dyno results on that one. So the '06 to '08 are the same as far as power hugh? Well either way, like you said at that point, both the Busa and Kaw are way too close to call since they both are very fast bikes.

Well I think that was the conclusion, maybe Smoking can help out my memory! I just though the 06 and 08 14 were real close.

I think mod for mod the 06 07 and 08 run the same ...I think we are still waiting for Brock to trick one out and then we will know for sure ...

every bike is different even within the same year.
if he has a low hp 06 and a high hp 08 then i could see that.
I said this before, same bore, same stroke, same compression, and same head don't leave much room for improvement not accounted for in tuning and cam timing.
Better injector spray pattern will only get you a couple hp at best after the correct A/F.
Maybe he had is old pipe on the 06 and his new pipe on the 08 like he recommends.
