When 8in. looks like 11in.

I removed the flies on my 08.I looked on here to get some tips and found two people said get a 11in. Kleine #2 phillips screwdriver at Lowe's.I went to Lowes and all over and the largest anyone carried was 8in., so I got one, which worked perfectly.I looked on Lowes website and they only carry 8in. Maybe some people use wishful thinking when it comes to length! Great site,I"ve learned here.Great bunch of people on here.(THANKS ALOT!)

BUSA TAMER-I relized the same thing but I found that that 11'' length you are referring to is the collective length(including handing). All in all, the 8 inch will work for sure(I just did my mod 10 days ago). Word to the wise, either let the bike idle for 5- 10 minutes or ride it before you start this project. The screws seem to come out with just a little pressure and turning. Also make sure you have a magnet telescope to pick up the srcews when you twist them out(your fingers will be too big to fit). Hope this helps

I magnetized the screwdriver before removing the flies so the screws stuck to it. The only other vital point is to keep the throttle shut and don't let anyone touch it, so if you do drop a screw it lands on top of the primary butterfly.

I bought the screwdriver Friday and did the mod this weekend. I had (have) a GIPro ATRE and didn't think the flies out would make a huge difference. Damn, was I wrong! Best 15 minutes I've ever put into the bike.
