If it's any help, my bike has Muzzy 3 hole links which give standard height, 3 inches and 6 inches lower. The wheelbase is stock and I drop it 3 inches without any problems.

u can go to the third hole but your fuel pump will hit the swingarm, i never did any damage to mine but i bought a mcintosh swingarm for a piece of mind, also look out for the shield and the bolt on your oil pan but i think u will be fine as long as you keep your front where it is!

It would probably be a good idea to get with Muzzy's, they have shock travel limiters to prevent bad things from happening. Also it wouldn't be a bad idea to cut a 1/16" thick piece of aluminum plate the size of the ECM to place under it in the event of rub through if tire contacts the undertail.
