this has been mentioned before,
the lack of air filter at turbo inlet may work in Fla, or places wher they don't sand the roads, or away from deserts, but be warned, a turbo can spin upward of 200,000 rpm, and dust particles will make short order of turbo blades...

looks like the same kit Jesse runs, cycle logic...
Nice stuff.

Why does this and the Muzzy kit look like my homemade kit...........that I did over a year ago?....LOL - except nobody has matched my trick plenum.

You would have to be nuts to not have a filter on the compressor.

maybe cuz you copied there designs .... and the boat world has been running filter-less since 1945 ...something about dust don't exist on water ....its gonna be screened kinda like a aftermarket filter which really isn't a filter but a screen

You can run it with no filter, but you blades WILL wear prematurely. also the HP difference is almost nothing.

Probably much less dust out over the water than on the street.
How many hours of use would a boat see over a year?

That's 14.......... :-)

After all the work I decided that it was not going to be such a great idea :-)
I know the ATP kits rocks so would recommend it. Mr Turbo and Muzzy have reps that are hard to beat....I would use their kits too.

If you watch the other popular 14 forum you can see my current 14 project.

O.K. ninja, I will go over there and check you out man. I have the ability to make my own kit as well but I don't know what turbo to use, what fuel regulator and all that stuff. If I knew, then I more than likely would take the project on. You got any tips?
