My 2007 ZX14 I know it is bone stock, except for the fender eliminator and the removal of the reflectors from the front forks, but it is MINE. I have waited since 1985-ish, when I seen my first 1000R Ninja, to own the 'big' Ninja. Hell, I've had it since March 14 and I still check on it in the garage when I get up in the middle of the night to go piss......
anyway, just thought I would post some pics of it.......
I took my wife riding on the bike, being especially careful to be as smooth as possible to avoid scaring her. When we got back to the house, she divulged to me that she has a control issue and can't ride on a bike unless she is driving. One thing led to another and I was back in the Kawasaki store buying her an 08 ZZR600. I spent all day installing 4" inch lowering links on the rear, lowering the front end 1 1/2 inches, and installing the fender eliminator kit on it (which required the removal of everything from the tank back....ARGH!!) . She is 5' 2" and the bike is a perfect fit for her now. I am 6' 7" and it feels lke riding a pit bike, especially after getting off my bike.

Purchased both brand new. I don't know why, but this town has a hard time moving the big bikes. The Suzuki shop has 2 '07 Busa's brand new on the showroom floor. They want $9400 each for them. I went to the Kawasaki Shop (owned by ex-racer Eddie Hill) because a buddy said they would beat the price for a ZX-14. So I bought the ZX14.

I finished tinkering with some exhaust pieces and came up with something that still keeps the bike relatively quiet, yet doesn't look like to 16 inch cannons facing rearward on the back of the bike. I still have to blast the midpipes and paint them with hi-heat flat black paint, but you get the idea from the picture.

I had a buddy purchase an '08 GSXR 1000. He didn't want them and was going to through them away. Me being the thirfty person I am (read cheap bastard) I decided to see what I could do with them. I had to pay a muffler shop $30 to bend a couple of pieces of pipe and the whole mess bolted right up. It sounds a little better than the stock 14 exhaust. I rode it around with the GSXR canisters in stock form for about 30 minutes and opted to cut the back of the baffles out. Because of the endcaps on the canisters, it was easy to drill out the rivets and then use a Saws-All to cut out the last bulkhead in the canister. It has a much nicer tone and growl to it now.
I will put up some more pics of it painted and a sound click later in the day.
Something else I am thinking of doing to through people off is to mount my own label on the canisters (i.e. Muzzy, Yosh, etc style) I work at a state pen and have access to craftshops that can make custom metal brackets and such. (I will also post pics of some that I have had made) and they could easily make a piece of almost flat stainless with a custom engraved, etched, etc name plate. I think it would keep alot of folks guessing around here as to the origin of the canisters. Last place people expect to find a GSXR exhaust is on a 14...lol

Did you save any weight at all by putting those on? They look like they would weigh just as much if not more. Well, i guess if they don't have cats in them they probably wouldn't weigh as much. unique none the less. Congrats on the 14, and the 6 that looks like a mini 12 lol.

I think the final weight savings was around 20 lbs. I couldn't believe how heavy the 14 stock exhaust was. OMG!!
And speakinf of the "mini-12"....here is the ol' lady doing the no-look driveby. She is still taking her time tooling around the neighborhood to get used to the bike. I am so anxious for her to go riding with me that it is killing me. Of course, she hates the fact that I am photographically documenting her journey into the world of motorcycling..... (p.s. everyone please do take special note of the color coordinated gloves.....)
and here is the "finished" version of the pipes....although I am thinking about removing the underwing......
and some custom key chains I had made...one for me (USAF) and the other was a batch I had made for my 21st high-school class reunion. Both were completely made from scratch...
