Travis, here's you shortened S-MEG

I will ship it out tomorrow via Fed-X. Install the bracket first using one of your orginal stock exhaust bolts up front. The rest is self explainatory. The second photo shows where I trimmed the lower plastic too.

looks good man, im about to do that to mine too, but Im bending the mid pipe, then just cutting it down so the can slips over it... If that doesnt work, I will cut it down and then tig it, and polish it back up...

I did cut the stock mid-pipe down and then split it almost in half, installed a piece in the middle and wleded it up. It is just painted after I finished grinding it down. The muffler slides right over the mid-pipe and the same flared end slides over the exhaust pipe.

Do you think a muffler shop can bend our mid pipes.. I only have to bend it just a little bit, do you think they can do it without kinking it?

NO! It will kink bad. Just split it and re-weld 'er back together. It turns out fine for what I do to them.

Hmm, so you cut it down to what you need, then you cut it again where you need it to bend right? Do you cut it all the way through or just enough to where there is just a little bit still on the pipe and then bend it and re weld it.

right here.

Yes I cut a pie shape out as well and put a small piece back in there and welded it all back up. Don't cut it all the way thru, just enuff to bend the small mid-pipe to shape that you need with the muffler attached of course and fit it all on the bike, take off the battery ground and weld 'er up mang. Easy task.
