Bike was sputtering on the way home last night? WTF
Ok last night I was on empty and filled up at this GULF station. 94 octane after about 5 miles my baby started studdering under acceleration. I'm hoping its bad gas..
if it is can I add some 103Octane Boost or should I just drain the tank?

If you think it is the Gulf gas causing the splutter you should drain the tank. At least you'll know one way or the other when you refill it, depending on whether it's cured or not.

maybe you filled it up too high and gas got in the tank vent, is it still doing it now?

dont know, weather is to shitty to ride today. But i will start it and see if it cuts off like it did yesterday..
Sideways: isnt that what the tank vent is for if you overfill the tank it will vent to the ground instead of all over the tank and seat?

none taken...was just something that popped in my head when I saw your post...I thought I read something about that on one of the forums before! Don't remember the exact detail...something about over filling pass the bottom part of the tank!

ok heres the skinny, i rode the bike to work, added some dry gas and some 104 oct boost.. bike ran a little better ... Rode it to lunch and then when i was about to leave work. it was turning over but was hesitating to start. Got it started.
baby'd it home and removed the tank and drained it.. Left enought to make it around the corner and put 2 gallons of gas in it.. Started running a little better (I think) on the way home.. I'm like bet let me clean this up for the ride tomorrow.. So i decided I'll let it run while I clean it to make sure it burns all that gas out.
Hit the switch and it turns over great but no fire.. WTF!!! Can it be vapor lock or something like that?

I received a phone call just last week from another 14 owner with the same problem. Told him to move the ground wire on the PC3 to a better location... he called me back 10 minutes later with a huge, "Thank You". Check your ground wire location/condition.
On the other hand, I had a similar sputtering / lack of power situation last fall. Noticed it right after filling up the tank! Turned out to be bad fuel. (probably water)
Hope this helps.

The DJ recommended gound is for shit....under the plastic bottle. I too have told 3 riders to move it to the 8mm stator cover bolt - solved.
