Why would I take 2 steps backwards?
Step 1 would be going from a Kawasaki to a Honda and step 2 would be downsizing in bike.

I'd probablly buy a new 14 if they offered them in the same color scheme as that black honda steve posted. Damn, I love the stealth look--no bling for me.

As for the troll, no food here.

actually the local guy had his gold aftermarket wheels from his '06 put on that new Honda, it comes with plain black wheels.

I'm just curios to know if any ZX 14 riders are planing on upgrading to 2008's finest motorcycle, the CBR 1000RR.
I you didn't pre-order one you may have a slim chance of finding one that isn't spoken for.
That makes me laugh! Who in there right mind would get rid of there ZX14 or any BUSA for a Honda. Some of us might trade if there was a CBR1300 or 1400 but i really don't think so. Honda is in the back of the pack. Kawasaki & Suzuki are leading the way in performance!!! Good Luck with your bike.

I for one would not trade my Busa or a 14 for the cbr1000, But I also won't say it will be at the back of the pack either, they stepped up there game this year with the CBR1000.

Here's what it boils down to. There are honda lovers, and then there are bike lovers. In my opinion ( and this is probably a pretty biased opinion because i was raised anti honda/harley) Honda has always been known for their marketing rather than their performance. Starting back in the day when the cbx was the "fastest bike made" and the L model raped it, to them getting in trouble for have speedo/odo calibration "issues" that caused people to think that they were getting better gas mileage than they really were in the Hybrids. There is always going to be the bike enthusiast that loves all motorcycles, but there are also going to be closed minded people who think that there is only one way and refuse to see the light on certain subjects. It's like the harley vs. Metric battle. The harleys are an inferior bike with a huge price tag and people still buy them. (Personally, i wish that i had the money to own a 600RR to play around on the track with and a Street rod to bar hop on, but i don't.) Quit trying to see who can piss further and just look at the facts. Sure the 1000 will mop our bike up on a closed course track. How many people ever race on a track? The majority of riding (at least where i'm from) is not even done in the twisties. It's straight lines and fast sweepers at best. I ride my bike, so i'll stick with the Comfortable land missile of a "gold wing" that we've all come to know as the fastest 1/4 mile bike ever built. That being said, the new Busa may very well take that title from us but it'll still be more cramped and top heavy.

Just fucking go ride already. At least you can! If i had my choice of sitting here on the computer or being out on my bike i damn sure wouldn't be sitting here arguing about honda vs. kawi!

I think most in here will agree: We don't care what you ride as long a you ride, it's usually all love. Until you come in talking smack. I'm 6'6" 320lbs and I slay to many people who because of my size to bike ratio think Im riding a 750 or 1000. I love seeing the look on thier face when they have realized what they are up against.
As for handling in the twisties, i through my bike around like the average guy would do on a 600.. so im double trouble..
Now the CBR may be a nice bike for you and your preferance. But we are pushing more HP than your HONDA Sports car, with less weight and 2 less wheels.
All this to say When your finished playing around or tired of getting smoked maybe you should UPGRADE to a 14, hell even a Busa if your desparate.

Just got sponsored by the local Honda shop for tires etc. for the 14 turbo at the drags. The Honda CBR 1000 is a nice bike for sure. The 14 and Busa are in a different class of motorcycle entirely, the liter bikes are in their niche. Both have their advantages in specific areas but are not in the same class at all. I hope this clears up your conception of which bike is the best.

It's fairly close. Massive difference in lower ends, clutches, etc. but really good for something that came out in 99.

I gotta admit, I was floored to see an 08 CBR throw down 140 mph passes at the drag strip. The guy has no experience but did manage some 10.30 times 70 miles off the showrooom floor. I personally would love to see Honda produce a 14 and Busa killing Blackbird, but I doubt it.

I'm bored with this topic and its finally going to be 60 and sunny here in southern Ohio and I'm going do what really counts and just go ride. Hell maybe I'll hook up with some Suzi's, Kawi's, Harley's and yes maybe even a Honda or 2. "Can't we all just get along" LOL!!!
