Any 14 owners upgrading to the '08 Cbr?

I'm just curios to know if any ZX 14 riders are planing on upgrading to 2008's finest motorcycle, the CBR 1000RR.
I you didn't pre-order one you may have a slim chance of finding one that isn't spoken for.

I tell you what, you and I will ride 200 miles to some great out of the way twisty road and you can have a little fun and then I'll go home that day, on my ZX, while you look for a nice place to lay down and die! PS my K7 will still eat it!

ummmm. 1000cc?? I am over 250hp now... What can the cbr offer me?

I have the best handling machine ever created. I can let go of the handlebars at 200mph and the dang thing did not move... That was before the steering damper was put into play.
Damper is 4 wheelies...

Most of us here already have a ride that can pull our arms ouf of our sockets if we are not paying attention.

Some want more... Hell I want more.

But I cannot consider the CBR an upgrade, no matter how many R's they put after the name...

Call Honda and ask how many bikes are being damaged (i.e. fairings being broken by assemblers) just trying to install the windshields at the dealerships. If Honda skimped on the quality of the fairings to the point that bolting a winshield on cracks and breaks fairings, what else did they skimp on????

And a deeper look into your original question.....bet you didn't ask the Busa guys if they wanted to trade their bikes for a CBR...R....R...RRRRRR1000RRRRRRRR. Why? Because everyone only *$#&'s with the guy standing on top of the hill.......

just food for thought......

If I wanted a big, heavy motorcycle like a Goldwing or ST1300 I'd probably consider a ZX 14 but since I'm only 37 I 'll buy something a little sportier.Maybe in 10-15 years it will be time for a ZX,but not now.

I've always thought of the 1000s as mini-bikes.... not necassarily an age thing = but if you need a little bitty bike - they are ok...... make a good pit bike for an older guy I guess.

Lets review the stats here? Daytona Superbike: new CBR's best finish 5th, 24 seconds off the pace with a WSB Champ in the saddle. Hell the new Kawaski ZX10R finished in front of it! What's up with that? Win on Sunday sell on Monday, sounds like a bunch on CBR's should be available to me. You can't ride a spec sheet but if you could maybe you should consider a different horse before you get to old.

I lov posts like this!

Keeps us alive!

The bike dont look bad. U think after all these years engineers would realize the rear fender just sucks. I though the zx fender was bad. The cbr is out to lunch back there...

If it was a woman I would leave her!

Wonder how many minutes I could ride it before my back started to cramp...

There's a NAZI on the board. Take it to the smackhouse tool. Quit stirring drama in the 14 forum. The bikes too fast for you anyways.

Upgrade........funny.......

Maybe on a track, but not on real streets........hell - we've had 3.......3.....litre bikes go down in the last year trying to hold our pace.........so it ain't always about the bike anyway.
