My dad and grandpa would have been your arch nemesis. They were hunting down cbx's on their GS1000L's back then. I'll have to see if they have any pictures from back then. They used to run around wearing shirts that said "I wanna race your 6" lol. He sold a lot of 1000L's because of outrunning everyone, and a lot of CBX's because the honda shop swore that there was no way he could out run them. To this day, people still talk about the epic drag races that went down on the streets of the little town known as Paris Texas. Whether it be my dad getting on my mom's GS650 with a V&H 4-1 and outrunning Rob Vanwinkle (Vanilla Ice) on his hurricane, or him outrunning a Gorilla blocked CBX with a slick and wheelie bar on his 1000L. I love the old bikes and wish that i could own all of the heavyweight contenders from back in the day.

Damn, you guys have owned all the bikes i wanted to own as a kid, CBX's, VMAX's, Kawasaki H2's............at least i've ridden VMAX's on many occasions.

Better watch it BlackMagic, some day way too friggin soon some kids gonna be rattling your cage about the "first" GSXR 750, and the ZX-11. Or will it be the Blackbird? Maybe the Hayabusa?
And after that, those "kids" will be getting there cages rattled with the line "You were around when bikes still ran on gas?!" ____________

I already get razzed about my old cars. and the music I listen to. Kids are always like you actually went to a guns n roses concert.
