Interesting find on another forum..

I was doing a google search on Muzzy M14 exhaust and ran into this link: http://www.suzukihayabusa.org/forum/index.php?topic=123123.40 Lots of benchracing going on there with dyno sheets.

Look at this quote! So harsh!

The "reality" of it all is that the Busa no matter what is mechanically a better bike, PERIOD. You can argue, quote and piss and moan all you want, Kawi is a copy and nothing more then a copy of a Busa.

Oh, I'm not wasting my time either doobie. It's a worthless/endless arguement. I just find it amazing that Busa riders DEDICATE their lives to finding ways to BASH the 14. Y not enjoy what you have and shut-up.

Funny thing about this is that they had to chop a pic of the 14 to make it half as ugly as that pregnant manatee thing.

ugly right down to the bone too....
their stock clutch sucks, the clutch slave design sucks, and they break 2nd gear, and won't warrantee any of it....

Pffft

My 14 has never , ever given me 1 once of trouble!
I maintain it well, but hammer on it alot...

18,000 km of loud handle, flies pulled, SMEG exhaust, and 50 shot of nitrous...

Look at zx-bob
10,000 miles on 297 RWhp 9 psi turbo, ALL stock internals.... and stock clutch held till 280RWHP

Need we say any more?

Any of you noted that the front of the busa looks like a sad or atonish smilie???

Probably there was a ZX14 parked just in front and it got depressed for being....a BUuuuusa......

The Busa boys have to bash the 14 because of jealousy. Kawasaki spent the money and addressed the weaknesses of the 12 and made major improvements, all new bike really. The dual counterbalancers means all new engine case - very expensive. Kaw used the best brakes with one finger operation something all the Busa boys are jealous of. Super bright high beam headlights better clutch etc. Suzuki didn't invest. 14 gets new everything not just resting on their reputation. They remind you of Napoleon Dynamite character "back in '82 I could throw the football over that hill".

I have found out many very interesting things about the 14, compared to busa over the last few weeks, speaking with Bob Carpenter, Paul Gast and others...

I'll say i am very happy to own a 14 and leave it at that!

The busa is a great bike... too bad it looks like Quasimodo mated with a Whale penis and the offspring had down syndrone.

Let them talk all they want, that is what they do best. I didn't have a problem spankin' them on a 12, they are not even a race on the 14. I ran Beach Bend last year and put a purpose built Busa (30k invested) on the trailer with my 14 that I ride to work. If you could talk a Busa to a win they would have something!

That is kind of my point, I only run 8.70's on my bike and the Busa (big block with spray) should have cleaned my clock but he couldn't ride it to save his rear. It is easy to find these guys and make them look bad, the ones who have Busa's and can ride usually don't run their mouth. To be honest I was just there goofing off and one of his boys started talking trash to me about my bike and it escalated from there.

Oh how times have changed since that thread was posted ... We have a pro rider here that got an 08 busa and then had a pro built motor done for it .... I had no problems taking him out on my old zx14 ....A week later he showed up with a new zx14 , i ask him where was the Busa and he told me he sold it ...lol..

We have 4 08 busas around here with good to better than good riders and none of them are putting down any great numbers ..The zx14 still has them covered ....

I was that close to buying one myself and i'm so glad i didn't !!!!

Smokin, just curious what the reason is for that?............does it spin and not put the power to the ground, is the clutch that bad compared to the 14.......................i've never riden or raced an 08 BUSA, so i'm not bashing one just asking how it compares to the 14?

Well Mike the new Busa seems to have the MPH to run the numbers the zx14 runs but the 60 footers are down ... These guys can ride ( they are light weigh pros ) but the bike doesn't 60 foot good ... They are not spinning or having wheely problems at 64 inch wheel base ...Both bikes have the clutch mods done but still not working as good as the zx14 clutch ..My guess is the clutch is the problem ... But like you i have not got a chance to ride one to know what is going on for sure .. Both bikes make within 2 to 3 hp of each other(modded) so i guess the better clutch wins ... All the magazine writers said the same thing that the zx14 is easier to drag race than the Busa ( more user friendy) but they also noted the busa seems to have a bit more power ( stock ) but they were unable to use it ..

Smoking, what kind of 60 fts are they getting, I don't understand why the bike won't 60 ft. But then I've only ran mine one day for 4 passes. Guess it's just my clutch hand but I never went better then a 1.65 on the 14 and that was with a ton of runs, first pass on the 08 busa was 1.64 with the 4th being 1.610. within two to three more runs it would have been in the 1.50's. Just remember after a few weekends out with the 08 Busa if it does not run as good as my 14 did I will post it on this board first. But with the extra hp I have and an airshifter I expect to run a tenth or so better. then my 9.42 on my 14. But this darn weather won't let up here. It was snowing again today. Our track opens April 19. hopefully we can hit mid 50's by then. We were also having a dyno shootout that day and I was having the guy that bought my 14 bring it so we could run it and my new bike back to back ,but if I have to pick one I'm going to the track if the weather is good enough.

Bently i didn't see the time tickets , i only saw what was on the score boards ... Both these guys have made passes on my zx14 and had zero problems matching my 60 foot times ( these guys are good) It could be that their 60s and 330s are down Vs my zx14 ... Both these guys weight less than me and one of the bikes had a built motor and the other has BST wheels ...I have seen one other at BMP with a just pipe and pro light weight rider and he didn't run as good as number as you did your first time out ...Maybe it's the lack of torq Vs a zx14 with flys out or the extra weight the new Busa has or it could be just the clutch....I just don't know ...Without riding one myself i can not say why ... From what i have seen it's going to be all rider on who wins this race .. My money is on my new zx10 beating them both ...
