SwingArm Ext?
ok quick question, just got my swing arm extensions, putting them on friday b4 i head to the track, they adjust from +3-7in I am 6'0 212lbs with gear on. I was thinking i would start at +6 and see how that worked.(plus for chain reasons, start long right) That is unless any of you wise veterans have any advise you might be willing to share.
Thanks all, i have been reading this site since last year when i got my 14, its mostly your advise that has got me where i am today(9.60's @ 148 foot shifting, stock wheel base) . With any luck i hope to contribute some knowledge soon myself .

JR14,
Any problems with wheelies using that gearing? I'm looking for the best compromise for street and strip. I only go to the strip occassionally do most of my riding on the street.
Thanks,

sorry i mis-spoke earlier i have a 17-43 (2.53)on now. i picked up 2 tenths from the stock 17-41. i was thinking i would try 16-41 (2.56) but i know i wont go any further. of course wheelies are a issue with 1st sometimes 2nd but i am putting on extensions right now (just taking a break) but for any highway riding i personally would not want any more gear than is on now

I have virtually the same setup as yourself, with Roaring Toyz ext at 64", muzzy lowering links on second hole, and 17-44 gearing. This seems to be a great combination!
