I get a little more hp from the brock's on the dyno, and my 06 is faster in the 1/4 by about 1.1/2 mph. Either one will need a map to get max power. In this respect brock support is killer, there's none better. However we always get a better overall running bike with a custom tune. I have heard that muzzy is releasing a new ex for the 14 but it been a long time coming. Its what you like, other then that,me personnely i want to see what brocks short meg and muzzys m14 looks and performs like.... Bill..

I was planning to get the "TRACK" map. Is the "RACE" you speak of smokin', the TRACK map?
From brocksperformance.com :
quote: A "Track" map begins it's life on Brock's Dynojet Model 250 Dynamometer (located Dayton Ohio @900 ft above sea level in our climate controlled facility). Utilizing an Air/Fuel probe, we obtain the correct air fuel mixture for precise metering throughout the entire operation range to match our exhaust systems. This map is then "adjusted" (trade secret!) at the drag strip by the Brock's Performance Research and Development Department to maximize performance with the bikes own ram-air system operating at speed. The ram-air system can not be correctly pressurized on the Dyno, so real world adjustments are made and measured (to one hundredth of a mile per hour) at the drag strip.
Max power "Dyno" maps are also available Brock's Performance Exhaust System owners.
These maps are tuned to show maximum power on the Dyno....NOT maximum acceleration on the track!
Track maps WILL READ LOW power readings on the Dyno.
So what is the benefit of the "DYNO" map? Is it for street use, or is the TRACK map better for street use? Track will give more power right?

Street Smeg for me. But on my zx9, That Muzzy was a force to be. And it still is so I'd have to say they are tit for tat. Just look at rickey's bike! Only reason I traded my smeg for the sidewinder is because I needed to get lower but I do miss my smeg man! That new M14 is sweet looking though. Good Job ROB!

I'd like to see same bike same day dyno sheet of say the Akro full vs. the SMEG. I'd like to see the power under the curve. That is what is important for street racing. I'd then like to see each 'tuned' system run on the same bike at the track. I'd wonder what wins the ET? Power under the curve or PEAK hp?

i think that its a matter of opinion both are well developed systems and either system can read higher than the other on a dyno. what seperates brock from muzzys is brock. not that rob is a bad guy or anything but brock seems to to get more involved with his customers. he helped me out.
