Lowering Pegs
Hi guys,
It seems my knees are not as flexible as they were when I was 20 (now I'm 40), so even though I'm not a big guy (5' 9" & 187 pounds), specially my right knee doesn't feel very well after driving for 45 mins or more. I would like to know if based on your own experience you can suggest me a peg lowering kit that I could buy and then be shipped to Chile in South America. Thanks in advance & Best Regards,
David

****Suggestion: stay away from Corbin's pegs.
****There is a simple install procedure to put Buell pegs on that will lower them.
If you do a forum search, you'll find a plethora of info on both of my above statements

These are the pegs you need. They might take very slight modification to fit but basically they drop right in.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the answers so far. I did some research reading different postings throughout the forum and some people liked the Corbin's but some other doesn't. That's why I prefer to ask based on your own experience in regards.
Stevefl do you have a link to Buell's web page where the kit is shown/for sale? Is this a ZX-14 made for kit, or should I addapt it? Thanks in advance.
FasterthanStink, thanks for the link, what kind of modifications should I do? Thanks again.
Phil, I had both of my knees screwed up by the Chilean Air Force Academy abot 23 years ago. They forced us to do many sit ups and stuff like that as physical punishment, that I ended up with both knee caps displaced (one side is more open than the other)....well that's one of the reasons I quit after a year+, two weeks before we start flying.
Thanks all. Best Regards,
David

There is not a Buell peg kit for the 14. These are just Buell pegs that happen to fit many bikes. A small amount of filing and possibly slightly enlarging the hole on the pegs is all that's required. Somple.

I just ordered the Corbin's pegs. They drop down the lowest for my long legs and move forward. That's good for a old man.
