drag shock
witch shock is better the penske or the ohlins. why does the ohlins cost so much more is it a better quality shock?

great debate. the tuner that did my suspension (road race not drag race) cussed when I even mentioned Ohlins. Others are just the opposite regarding preferred brand between the two. I'm looking forward to what the knowledgeable folks in here post about the two brands.
I can find a plethora of info in forums about penske vs. ohlins, but I can't seem to find a reliable source thats test both brands with same rider/same bike/same track/same day with a comparison of lap times.

They will both accomplish the exact same thing in drag racing neither is better then the other. Go with the one that is cheaper. Also if you are wanting the bike set up for one rider and dont need tons of adjustability just have the stock shock revalved you can get it done several places for about 300 bucks Coby Adams does a good job. In my opinion if you want a custom shock and not a revalved stocker get a WORKS shock great customer service and support after the sell and price is about the same as a penske.

i see where you can order shorter shocks, but can you use a shorter one on the 14, and what is the benifit .

Suspension work is something that I for one do not profess to be an expert on. But if you need info call works suspension or a penske dealer and tell them how your bike is set up and what you hope to achieve and they will be more then happy to get you all the info you need
