Greetings and Salutations from Chile (New here)
Hi everybody, I'm new here and about to get the new Lady in my life. Hopefully tomorrow will pick up a 2007, Diablo Black ZX-14, braaand new. Even though I've seen many pics of this type of bike here, I will post some of my new Baby, hopefully this weekend.
I've read several of the threads here and I'm already greatful with you all for the valuable information I've found. Because of it (the info found), I've already ordered some Heli-Bars and a tank mount (for the radar detector....he-he-he). Motorbikes here are awfully expensive (mine costed US$17,634), so I will take it easy in regards of speed (liar!) and modifications.
Best Regards / Cheers
David

Hi guys, thankd for the welcome. Today noon I went to pick my Baby up.....GOSH!!!! What a RUSH!!! Answering a question posted, it's totally different from the 90' Steed, the quickness of reaction to throttle movement almost overwhelmed me. I was riding at 120km (75 or 80 miles...I guess) in 5th or 6th speed and hit the throttle and it took about 4 seconds (maybe I'm exaggerating or maybe was even less secs.) to reach 240km (150 miles if not wrong)....WOW!!!! And it handles marvelously. The only problem were bugs splashing on helmet visor.
Yep I know the price sucked, but un...fortunately that's the reduced price cause this is a 2007, a new 2008 ZX-14 costs US$19,680 list price. I choose Diablo Black and 2008's doesn't come in black, only midnight blue.
Well I guess you all been as excited as I am with my new Baby. I will try to take it easy.
I have one question for you guys, I remember that when I did break while riding the steed I used more the rear brake than the front one. Today I felt that the rear one was not braking that much but using the front wheel break did the magic perfectly. Is this normal?
Thanks again and please bear with my English, as Spanish is my mother language.
Best Regards / Cheers
David
P.S.: Hopefully this weekend I will take some pics to show you my Baby (even though they will show a stock bike, hope you don't mind)

I thought you might like to see a pics of my old Lady (meaning the Steed, of course). In the back you can also see the Vulcan EN500 that now it's gone.
