Smokin, when you pipe that 10 the mph will be in the 120's. Kawasaki's respond well to pipes.

Are you going to remove the secondary flies on the 10? Also try removing the muffler, probably not too loud with that pre-muffler box thingy.
I would assume more low down torque would help with launches?

I have no idea, saw her or should I say ''it'' on the net one day and instantly saved it to my computer. I was a little hesitant in using it as my avatar (thought it might be too much) but have got a lot of POSOTIVE FEEDBACK. She's a keeper, I know a good ASSet when I see it.

I'm going to try a lot of things BUT one at a time so i can post the outcomes of each mod .. I hope to work with Brock like i did on the zx14 so everyone can buy the right parts the first time and not waste money on stuff that doesn't work ..

I know I know your moving as fast as you can. We appreciate this as you are one of the first to get one and your fast as hell too. So give some tips to launching to be the best also. That would help a novice like me. Oh and its that itch for two wheels.

Thank you ...Brock told me he was about two weeks out from testing a zx10 pipe ...Soooo we wait ...Untill then i'm going to find out how to ride this thing and report back my findings ...

Smokin,
I HATE riding 1000's! They make me look worse than I am....big power/short wheelbase/no torque-they are a mess to ride quickly.
Last year in 1000 SuperSport 3 riders ran in the EIGHTS on GSX-R1000. Gives you a pretty good feel for how good those guys are....
Best of luck and we will be speaking about all the power which can be released from the new ZX-10 very soon !

well you will definitely get some cool air this evening, but it is awful breezy. i have my daughter's track meet early but i will try to make it out to sunshine if the meet finishes at a decent hour. hope to see you out there soon.

Great time at the drag strip. That ZX10 is one SWEET bike. And I bet the front tire lasts a long time, only time I saw it used was when the bike was parked

Thanks Brock and your not kidding about stock wheel base liter bikes , these things are a double hand full to ride ...Brock wait till you put an 08 zx10 on the dyno i think you will be really suprized ....This thing hits so hard in the upper RPMs you see more sky than drag strip ...

I got a few runs in tonight but things didn't go as planned ( do they ever ?) I did run a little faster 6.50 @ 117 with a 1.68 60 footer ...That was nowhere near using all the power this zx10 has .... The harder i pushed the bike the more the front tire spent time at 12:00 ... This zx10 is acting like the zx14 , as the motor gets some breakin time it gains more power ...My third run i wheelied first and had to short shift to second and as the bike hit the power band in second gear the bike went straight up again ... I cashed the front end down right at the 1/8 mark and hit so hard i broke the front fender in half !!!! I'll get a picture of the fender later and post it ... This bike acts like it has a 50 shot of N20 when it hits 8000 RPMs ..This bike pulls so hard on the top end it's just plane nasty !!!
Here i set telling you about how much power it has and Brock is going to help me add more power ...I'm either crazy or insane or both ....
