Max length with bolt-ons
Who makes the longest usable bolt-ons?
I want to go out to 68" . If stock is 57.5,
I need 10.5 over, right?

I have spencercycle and they are 2 to 7 over ..I think someone makes a 2 to 9 but i have never seen them ..

rightfully so.... , that would be a flexiflier with stock arm....

I noticed his personal bike zx12 didn't have it.

YOU DONT NEED UNDERBRACING!!! unless you are over 300 hp I wouldnt even consider it. It is one of those things that companies make easy money on that serves no real purpose other then looks. I weigh 300 pounds and am around 260 hp on my nitrous and I dont have underbracing on my new velocity arm

Because of the stock arm design, or not being able to keep the bolt-ons tight?

The stock arm was never designed to handle the extra leverage.
Stock arm is 26" long.
A 10 inch addition is an additional 38% more length, thus 38% more mechanical leverage.
The trac arm I had on my bike was a bout double the weight, but even at 32" or full 6 inch extension , I couldn't feel any lateral flex, which is what can casue the bike to dog track, as the frame and swigarm torque up.
I wouldn't run anything without an underbrace on the street, simply for the handling.
A stiff swingarm handles much better in the corners, and straight under heavy load.
Just my 2 cents.
Look at the swingarms on todays literbikes, compared to 10 years ago.
They are much stiffer for a reason. radial tires and rubber compounds have made drastic improvemnts for public Joe, and so manufactures had to up the chasis rigidity to match.
