saw ricky run the 14 ran a 9.17 @151mph at the end it mentions an igniter what is a igniter?

I believe it's used to get more voltage to the coils for better spark, or for spark duration -- not 100% sure though. I'm sure others more in the know here know what it is.

i thought when ricky said that he was referring to a muzzy ignition timing advance plate.(ROTOR)
there were no pc's available for the 14 at that time.

they were modifiing the zx10 pc3 back in the day... still have one on my bike.

That is the old video from when the 14 originally came out. they were refering to a power commander but the guy on the video didnt know what he was talking about
