Well long story made short we haven't got it yet ...We made some changes to the kit and that caused us to get a little behind in delivery of the kit ..
We should be getting it Tuesday UPS and start the install Weds.....

O.K., I will continue to wait then.
For what it's worth, I talked to Carpenter AND KWS Motorsports and man, motor for motor, the new '08 Busa will bust a 14's ass once you port the heads and such. These guys are getting 226+ out of the new Busa whereas the 14 only responds to 210 with that same work. My only other option at this point is a turbo kit and build the motor later.

The only reason there are not getting more HP for the zx14 is they spend NO time on it ...The Busa pays the bills and the zx14 doesn't .. Busas have paid there bills for 9 years and they are not going to blow that deal by making a zx14 faster than there beloved money maker..
Hang tight Brent we will get this turbo bike up and running shortly ...I'm sure it will make all the HP you want ...Trying to ride it is another story ..

WOW Mr. Muzzy. I have purchased some parts from you last year and will again but tell me about your 1581 kit. Bob Carpenter told me that the 14 head is TOO big in areas and that is what hurts it more than anything.
Is it 100% streetable? What about lower compression pistons for a turbo as well.
Smokin' I didn't think of it the way you said it on the Busa paying the bills and they can do more of them too. Great point.

Smokin hit the nail right on the head with that one. There are several builders, and you guys know who they are, that won't come out with anything less than positive about the busa. From a businessmans standpoint, it'd be akin to shootin yurself in the foot.
Whether they can get the same or more power out of a 14, you'll never hear it from them.
The 06 14, was a different story, as it was so far ahead. There were still some clowns that wouldn't give it credit , but we all know who they are.

There is no reason to make the engine bigger for Turbo applications. If you want more power with a Turbo just crank up the boost. The MUZZY Stage1+ Turbo kit will produce 285hp with a stock engine. The big displacement engines are best used in racing applications where Turbos are not allowed.

O.K. Thanks. It was the "have your cake and ice cream too" thought.
285 with your turbo kit and SAFE without rod bearing problems? I understand that you said the crankshaft is solid as is though.
