It isn't fake. In fact, Jay Leno bought one. They are built in New Iberia, La. They use Allison C20B gas turbine helicopter engines that put out about 420hp, give or take. Nobody has run one in the 1/4 yet, but my guess would be it would run mid 8's due to a lot of factors.

Do a google search of Jay Leno and see if you can find his collection and you'll see one of these bikes in there.

Actually Leno has had that bike for a few years, and it use to be on the website that designed that bike that the 1/4 mile time was 9.98 and Its 320 hp and 425 ft pounds of TQ 286 HP at the rear wheel, so besides being different all not that impressive from a numbers standpoint. you can check it out at

Sorry fellas, still on dial-up(Didn't even open the link). You must be talking about the Y2K.

Heard Jay talking about how crazy it is trying to time the throttle coming out of the corners, melting people's bumpers, and of course, not being stupid enough to try to top it out.

In a helicopter that engine burns about 1/2 gallon a minute. Prolly on the bike somewhat less, but still gotta be up there. Turbine is designed to run max RPM continously, with torque depending on load. Dont know what they are burning for fuel, but Jet fuel is kerosene more or less, so might be a problem if you wanted to go anywhere. Not a great choice if your salary dont match J's.
