Muzzy M-10 and PCIII on

Looks great! Fits like a glove, no issues. The thing is loud and even with your ear when on the bike. I won't ever have an issue with somebody not being aware I am near them on the road. Not ear splitting loud because it is a deep sound, not like a 600 with D&D's (annoying). There are a lot of cruiseers with louder pipes than the M-10. Kinda wish it had a removeable insert like Brock's (for early morning exits from the sub). Short shift and little throttle will be the norm to get out of the sub.
I hope to run it on the dyno soon. Just to get the numbers. Only took it for a short ride to get home. "Butt dyno" didn't feel a lot of difference (flies still in - dynojet map). I really didn't stand on it though. It will be interesting to see what happend mid-range. I suspect all of the lost '08 hp will be back on the top. I am sure that I will be pulling the flies out and loading the Muzzy map (flies out) sooner or later.

How about pulling the 'flies and loading the Muzzy map before the dyno run? Might save some money by not doing it twice.

I'll get a couple of pics up soon. Yanked the rear pegs off yesterday. I never ride two up on it. I have another bike for the 2-up stuff.

I am lucky .... I think.... to work at a bike shop. Spininng the bike costs me nothing. This way I (and the Service Dept.) will be able to correctly answer customer questions with back-up data.

Took a short ride again yesterday, I really don't think the pipe helped much mid-range. I am not sure when I'll get it on the dyno though. Crappy weather, no shortage of rain around here.

Spun it today. Using the same dyno, stock STD measurement was 160, today 174. Pretty decent - 14hp. 2-5 hp low to mid range with 14 up top.

You guys gotta post up some video of those things so we can hear what they sound like... even a drive by so we can hear a true sound under normal speeds too. The pipe & bike looks GREAT Jay!!!

Better than nothin'. I can tell you it is not quiet. I did layover the stock and new dyno charts. It was better in two spots by 10+ hp at 3,000rpm and 6500rpm - both areas had a dip in the stock setup.

I am going to pull the flies Monday and load the Muzzy map. Last mod for now.

Are you going to put it back on the dyno after you pull the flies & add the Muzzy map to it? I'm interested in seeing what the results are. I changed to a 16/43 sprocket set Wednesday & love it... definitely one of the best mods that I've done to my 14 for sure, and all for less than $90.
