man, I would be pissed. I'm very protective of my bike and I'd probably hit him after he was a safe distance from my bike.

I ask him if it was his bike ?...No Mr Soontobedead says.
So... I say give me $20 bucks
He says ....why?
I say... Ass or Cash
He looks at me like a deer in the headlights
Cheap lesson for him

I like that one. I don't say a word. I like to wait until they are headed to their car, then go jump in it and fiddle with all the radio buttons and whatever else I see. Makes a good point I think.

In 2004 I had a co-worker tell me my bike was huge; the zx12. I said, "Why you say that?" He replies, "I sat on it and it was huge." I got soooooooo pissed! Don't sit on my bike! You don't see me chilling inside your car getting a feel for it do you!!?? I doubt you'd tell me if you knocked it over too!

It only happened once when my bike was parked near our stand at a show. Someone thought it was for sale. He was really embarrassed and apologetic.
If it happened anywhere else I would be asking them if they liked hospital food. The most usual thing I find is people can't resist tweaking the throttle, I mean when it's parked with the engine off, why must they do that? Morons.

Working at a bike shop, it seemed to be a regular occurance, even with an "Employee Parking" sign in front of them. Now most of resort to putting a "Not For Sale - Do Not Sit" sign on the seats. I have never had anyone sit on my bike when parked at stores/restaurants (I try to keep an eye on it).

as soon as he saw that it was my bike, he got off. Told me, "Nice Bike BRO."
I punched him in the ear.
The counselor at anger management asked me why I did it. I asked her if she had a bike. Our relationship was kinda sour that week. Case was later dismissed.
I work long hours, and do without some things so I can have my toys.

Your story is my story and I will ALWAYS think before reacting again. It is easy as heck to get into trouble but hard as chit to get out of it.
Fortunately I haven't had any problems with someone sitting on the 14.

I ride my 14 to work alot during the summer and last year we had new pavement layed down. I always keep a piece of fiberboard in my jacket pocket for the kickstand so it doesn't sink up. I went on break one evening and noticed that my bike was leaning over a little more than it should be. When I got over to it, I noticed the kickstand wasn't on the fiberboard and it was sunk up in the pavement. I was pissed. I guess someone sat on it and tried to roll it around or something. I have also noticed some scuffs on the rear cowl before too. Nothing a little compound didn't fix, but it just pisses me off to see my 14 tampered with.

unless they own a bike their oblivious, just like when they drive their cages...
ppl don't understand that bikes are differnt than cars. They are a passion, and an outlet.
Most ppl are proud of their bikes as well,
most cages are simply a form of transportation, so they don't understand the emotion, cause they don't have the passion a motorcyclist does .

Wheather or not this happens is a result of how you use your bike. If you use it as daily transportation and it is always on the street, its gonna happen sooner or later im sure. For me, my rides pretty much all end with me going back home and the bike in the garage, so it doesn't happen. if you have bags on your bike carry a motorcycle cover with you, passerbys on the street wont go around taking covers off bikes to sit on them. Also, take care to park where you can see you bike. When i go to a restaurant or someplace on the bike, I know i wont be long so I usually just pull up on the sidewalk next to the window and try to sit where i can see it. The ZX-14 is a fantastic, sinister looking bike that naturally draws attention!

Add Scorpio alarms with pager and motion detector. I can set a range around the bike that if someone comes within a certain radius the alarm will start to go off. You can also just set it so it will only sound if the bike is stood upright, battery is messed with, etc.
Ear piercing alarm...set it off by mistake a few times in my garage.

I have had it happen a few times and most of the time people are VERY APOLOGETIC ABOUT IT!!! I had this dude sit on it one time that rode a harley and then he started talking shit about how ugly it was and how uncomfortable it was and how he would take a harley any day!!! needless to say that did not turn out so well especially for me since he was in a group of about 10 guys and I was alone and it didnt go over to well when I threatened to walk over and kick his bike over!! Luckily a police officer pulled into the gas station before I got my ass handed to me by all 10 of em!! But I couldnt believe it went that far between fellow motorcyclist I always make a POINT TO COMPLIMENT someones bike when I see them with it no matter what kind of bike it is. this guy was a total prick!!

you got me thinking about those harley guys. next time i see a guy on my bike i will yell " stop thief" as i run toward him. now the burden is on him to explain to you and maybe the cops why he was apparantly ready to ride away on YOUR bike. i am not inclined to nor recommend popping anyone, but if you see a guy on your bike, it is a logical conclusion he may in the process of stealing it. however in this day of ambulence chasers you might get your life saving taken by the jerk and his lawyer.
