Installed Muzzy turbo, stage 1
Just finished with the dyno and mapping at Salt Lake Motorsports, the Ducati dealer.
Putting out 235 rear wheel hp @ 5lbs boost. Don't need to carry octane booster around
secondarys removed, lowering link installed also. Bottom end is greatly improved, a surprise
for a turbo, gas mileage is up to 38 in town, another surprise. Matt, the dyno person, said it was
the best kit so far having installed several different brands. Kit was easy to install.

davej- glad to here you are happy. I have personally enjoyed the development of this kit. I think it is one of the best we have done. Would appreciate any comments you might have that would help us improve the product.

AGREED! ROb what do you think the limits are on this Kit and stock internals?? How much boost and how much RWHP can be maintained at a safe level that will not endanger the lifespan of the motor?

Rob is not going to post those number in this forum. Reason being he doesn't want anyone to challenge him with the numbers their dyno numbers.
Remember, this is a street kit. I think He set's them up for 5 to 6 lbs of boost safely.
If you push the limit it's your responsibility.
I purchased their very first kit for the zx12. I was a lil more complicated to install. As imformation grows and technology allows development the kits become simpler to install.
With their kit, if you can read and follow the direction, you can install the street kit in a matter of hours.
My kit was set up for 6 lbs of boost. I also purchased the turbo piston. With the pistons I was good for 10 to 12 lbs of boost. Their street kit was designed for the street. At 5 lbs of boost the bike made 235! So, that's an avg of 11hp per 1 lb of boost. An avg 14 on an avg dyno will make around 177ish.
From what I have been reading the stock motor can handle around 260 lbs on the stock motor. You can run around 8 lbs of boost on C116 and you shouldn't have any problems

I purchased the zx14 in Aug 07 with 1500 miles. It now has 9600 miles. Other kits on Hayabusas
have 17000 miles @ 300 hp.

There are many variables that effect the horsepower of any kit. Available fuel, engine specifications, ignition timing, etc. The turbo in the stage I kit is capable of producing 400 hp., but you can only run about 5-8 lbs. of boost on a stock 14 with pump fuel and stock ignition timing. That equals about 235 to 275 hp. With C-16 race gas you could run 10 lbs. about 285-295 hp. The stock fuel pump and injectors will not support any more than that. The MUZZY Stage I+ kit includes a new fuel pump, bigger injectors, and pressure sensing regulator. We have run 350 hp with this kit. The bottom line is we can set you up with a kit that will make from 235 to 650 hp. You tell us what you want we can then tell you how to do it. There are to many different combinations to list. The stage I kit is easy to install and makes a very nice street bike, you can always add on if you want more power.

justoyz2 i'm not asking what the kit will put out HP wise ...I'm asking what comes with the kit or more important what doesn't come with the kit !! His ad is not complete so this leads me to believe the kit is not a stand alone complete kit .. I hate when someones ad reads ready to bolt on.....Only to find out you need 2000.00 more parts to make it work ...

Smokin- I just looked at our web site and it seems to me that it properly defines the kits. It does not make sense to list what does not come with the kit. The only thing you need besides the stage I kit is a stock ZX-14 with a PCIII installed. Please call me, I think it would be easier to explain direct.

How much is the Stage 2 with all the needed parts? Would you not need some better rods and maybe some springs to run the stage 2??
