mcn's complaint with the 14's brakes was that they were too strong, had progressive bite because of the four pads design and their riders were scared of front wheel lock-up in a panic stop.

ya thats bullchit too about the brakes. my 14 had the best brakes going into turns (and hot braking late) of any bike I've ever ridden. they were the main factor that allowed me to keep up with my friends on the litre bikes and 600s on my recent deal's gap trip in the twisties from hell. I do see benefit for the ZX14 of changing the pads to HH, and changing brake lines to steel braided after 12-14000 miles
and to say they are  too strong sounds like something maybe an ABS fan would state.
 anyone complaining they are too aggressive may be better off with a C14, or a gold wing and a card to get the senior discount at Cracker Barrel.

i was a bit dismayed with mcn's report on the brakes also. i've never rode a bike with better feel or stopping ability. they also ranked the c-14 behind the fjr and st1300 in just about every catogory
