that did not last long
well fitted my power commander ignition module a few weeks ago, only use it had was setting everything up on the dyno, week later come out this morning , start engine, would only idle a couple of secs before cutting out, and any attemt to give it throttle resulted in back fire and then cut out
disconnected ignition module from power commander and everything fine, and yes i did have a good earth

Idle speed sounds too low. Has to be at least 900 or more.

I had the exact same thing as you.... I even would be able to ride for a few minutes and then it would just cut out. This happened 5 or 6 times. I could unplug the PC and plug in the stock wires (while burning my hands...) and it would run great. I called Dyno Jet and they were going to have me send in the PC. I figured I would try a few things first.... which I did. The first thing I did was re-do all of the wiring. That included the ground wire as well as the PC harness. I wanted to make sure I had no pinches or melted wires on the harness as it was routed near some heat on the motor. I made sure that it was run perfectly up to the front fairing. I then ground the wire directly to the frame... (Some people run it to their battery) Since I did those changes, I have not had any further problems. (Over 5000 miles later.) I realize that you feel comfortable with your ground... maybe just a change of location?? Just letting you know of me personal experience.... Good Luck!!

Ground right to original battery ground -- that's the best place. The only issues I ever had like that, were when the idle speed was et below 950.

hi
well the ignition module will only go in the right hand side of the fairing as the wires are not long enought to reach unlike the pc which can go under the seat so there is no chance of the ignition module earth reaching the battery earth
