aint no difference from what I see other than the Alien head design and the S-meg muffler. The mid pipe is what seperates ANY of the configurations. I can go right back to a regular S-meg with just a change over to the standard mid-pipe.

This is what I did to my S-Meg back in June 07.

It sits just a tad lower than what Brock has for his but if his was a kit, I woulda bought it too.

those short mufflers seem like they'd be loud right in your face rather than throw the noise behind? I guess thats ok for drag racing, but i take my street bikes to the mountains and such and spend hours on 'em :P

Great,

First I was going to get the S-Meg and then Brock came out with the Alien Head and I was going to get that and now the Short-Meg. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions.....I think I can narrow it down to the Alien Head or the Short Meg.

Any HP figures on the Short Meg?

Thanks

I herd he has a short GEN 3 can coming out soon also to cover everything.

I hope its just the muffler part thats diff, from the original street meg. I have my 02 senser in the mid pipe on my bikes and dont want to have to redue the new ones. I am defenitly going to try one of the shortys. I would have installed the alein but i didnt like the semi triangle look at all. Also i dont know if any of you guys have found that the s-meg makes more torque than any pipe we have tryed.I have tested almost every ex out there, and even the sidewinders dont make as much torque.Granted we have spent a lot of dyno time on getting the a/f and e.g.t just rite for mapping but i have tryed it all on the other ex too. I copied brents shorty just after he posted his bike because i liked it so much and guess what more torque, It looks like brocks new ex may be even shorter, Can't wait to try it on the 06 without changing anything else at first. bill

Qwick, sure you want to go to a "production" pipe??? The bike looks great as is with the custom "Afterburners". Can't wait to see it once all the work is done.

I was waiting for some one to bring that up, You tell that to the motor,I have always had better torque curve with longer systems,Are four stroke motocrossers use long head pipes for this reason until resently check out fmf new headers. I dont use a dyno to make over inflated hp #s I concentrate on the torque and how the bike reacts to these changes on the track. I know what is working for us but why it doesnt follow the norm is a mystery to sum i guess.. bill...

It don't look that good on the busa at all to me. The pipe needs more of a bend coming off the mid pipe to stay in line with the bike and not outwards like it is.

uhmmmm ANOTHER Michelin on a drag bike huh??!!!!!!

and that looks like a pilot "race" like we use on the round tracks instead of a pilot power for the street.

i've always suspected michelins were softest for the drag strip as well.

Thanks S.C. Hooligan. My "Afterburner Qwick Pipes" have worked great for the past 14 months, but it's time for a change... major change. 16/43 gears, extensions, flies out, lowered and looking forward to Brock's new 4 to1 Short Meg. Should be almost like buying a new ZX1500, lol. I just gotta hope that the wife doesn't get the same ideas for her 14 or it'll be off to the poorhouse for me. But then again...when she finds out about ALL the mods that I've done to my bike I might be out in the doghouse instead!!! As for the Qwick pipes, I had them tucked nicely up & under the bike and had the final welding done on them... the look & sound is great. I may consider selling them, so let me know if you run across anyone up your way who has a 14 looking for a drag style set of slip-ons. I have a custom map for them also...dyno run was 172.85hp. Be safe.
