Brock has a new Short Meg system that should be released sometime

OK...................... Red means that he's still testing on the 06.
When will we see ANYTHING on the 08?
This coming from someone with an 08 and .............. uh.............. STOCK PIPES!
Waiting, waiting, waiting.................................

I've already called & added my name to the waiting list. These things look great on the 14 and they should sound absolutely awesome on it too!!! I've been running my "Qwick Pipes" for the past year and I like the look & sound of them... but, when I saw the new Short Meg I knew that it was time to spend a little money and purchase the pipes that I've been hoping & waiting for someone to release. I understand that these may also come in a slip-on system for the ones who don't want the power benefits of a full 4-1 system and want to keep that dual pipe look. I myself am going with the full system. Brings back memories for me of the KZ1000's of the 80's.

I'm sure it will fit,, but I don't think that the map for the 06 will even be close on the 08........

Man didn't the Alien head just come out..
I do like the looks of this smeg vs the original one and the Alien head.
Looks alot like the one Brent D. made for his bike.
There are going to be alot of orginal smegs and alien heads conversions floating around.
I need to find me some brock headers.

LOL. At least I can say that I did it first plus I do not like the look of the Alien head being traiangled. Mine sits lower as well and you have to trim some of that plastic lower cover with mine but it almost is like a sidewinder. I really, really admire Brock for all of his efforts with the 14 and Busa and will ALWAYS buy from him. The man even called me a few times to see how things were going and he doesn't know me from Adam.

My Street-Meg is LOUD enough, I can imagine what a shorter ( less restrictive ) version of it is going to sound like.

Is it just me or does the header portion of the pipe stick out further than the Alien or SMEG? I know the 14 aint exactly a slouch in the handling department but I sure would hate to give up any ground clearance while riding at the stock height. I actually rail around a corner now and then. I have a K6 1000 for the close to home stuff but I like my Busa and hopefully my new 2008 ZX14 for the long distance rides to get to the good stuff. Looks great though!!!!

Quick,
Short-meg looks great, but may have some right turn clearance issues v. the alien head.

lucky, I have an Alienhead on my 08. Brock has a "temp" map for all Brock systems on 08's
bulldog, I would bet that the header is the same one used on genIII, SMEG, alien, etc

I would guess that the pics were taken during the fitting stages since the bike is still on the lift... so I can't say if the pipe is positioned here in its permanent location or not. I'm sure that if there are any clearance issues that Brock has already addressed them.

Lucky,
I know I'll catch some crap for this but since you already have the Alienhead I'll ask. Do you ever ride with a passenger and if so do they notice the noise or heat from the shorty. My wife can't stand the K6 Gixxer with the M4 GP exhaust I have on it for the reasons mentioned. That's why we use the Busa most the time. My biggest decision now if which one do I buy, with Brock's stuff you can't go wrong.

Great,
First I was going to get the S-Meg and then Brock came out with the Alien Head and I was going to get that and now the Short-Meg. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions.....I think I can narrow it down to the Alien Head or the Short Meg.
Any HP figures on the Short Meg?
Thanks
