Ok. I see. You were talking about that size bore on stock 08 stroke. I was talking about the 86mm bore with stock 08 stroke yeildig 1510.5ccs.

stock crank, just 3mm overbore pistons. the stroker is coming though

I got a chance to PLAY with the 2 '08 Busas today. We rollled on from 2nd thru 6th. The lower we went the farther the gap I put on them BOTH. They both had pipes and PCs but in their defense they are running stock gearing and I'm -1 in the front and +1 in the rear. I didn't pull them like I did on my built-Busa, but they both felt that the 14 has engine work too and I couldn't convince them any different. Neither of them seemed to be good riders ( not tucking well and changing gear extremely
LAZY). They were definitely not the 2 to make a comparison with, I'm sure I'll meet my match.

A lot of people don't believe that wind resistance will cause them to lose speed so they lose the race.

00, I am going to be kinda busy sat., but when are we gonna do our "test session" with 06 and 08?? and quit picking on them 08 busas! You didnt have to go and beat em on an old Kaw, lol

I'm ready whenever you are. I'm off this Fri-Sat-Sun. There's a guy at work that bought an '08 Busa that needs be HUMBLED a little this weekend if the weather permits. Don't get me wrong, I think they're strong bikes but he bragged all night about how the shop in Greer got him 195hp out of it. and the 14 barely made 180. He'll change his tune when we go back to work on Monday. I told him DYNOs DON'T WIN RACES ! ( although they can help to get the tune-up close ).

hopefully we can get together one day this weekend. I'm about ready to test my luck against the mighty 08 bus'. Ask D-bird when is he gonna have his junk ready, since "i'm never gonna come around him", You dont have to come around what you're already in front of, lol

My upgrades are on the way, but until they get here there's really no reason for me to get into that fight. And even when they do, I know what the outcome is gonna be. I guess 2nd place ain't that bad, lol. Wait, there is hope... maybe he'll miss a gear, run out of gas, fall asleep or just flat out feel sorry for me and let me win a race. Then again, maybe not.

Have you guys been talking about me while I was sleep ? I'll probably ride the 14 this weekend, 00 needs to rest for an upcoming challenge ! ( So Silver08 - you don't have to be SCARED !!! ) LOL
Can't wait till it warms up and we can ride some. Are any of you guys going to Daytona for Bike Week ?

00, I already ran that by the wife & she shot it down right quick. Let's see, wife's 14 locked up in the building all week while she's at work & we're all at the beach... not gonna happen again this year. I did go to bike week in Myrtle Beach the year before last... but she still had the Vmax back then, lol. Darn ZX14's, even the ladies can't get enough of them. We are hoping to attend the fall bike week together in S.C. Let me know if you plan on going then.

00, I ordered all my parts so I should have everything bolted on in the next week or so. Just waiting on Brock's new release of the "Short Meg", that thing looks awesome! The 14 should sound a lot like my old KZ with a Kerker system from back in the 80's. You remember ya old fart!!! lol. Nice to have someone around that is older than I.

Sounds like a plan, although bad weather is predicted for Sunday. Yoo bad you cant come tomorrow, I invited both of those '08 Busas. They told me to leave my Busa at home and ride the 14 !!!
I just checked again and Sunday looks pretty good also.

What do mean remeber, I still have a 1976 LTD 900 ( 1075cc-29mm Smoothbores-Kerker exhaust ) still probably want make much over 100 hp.
