I just received my SEMG today and installed. For those of you who have this system did it come with a name plate?? Mine didnt and I was wondering, it looks okay with out it, but would rather have it.

If it didnt come with one and you want one then you need to send the megaphone back unless you have a small rivet gun to put the name plate on brock might would send you another one with a return label on the box so you wouldnt have any down time...

Did you get it directly from Brock?
If so, did they know that it is for the 08?
Is the 08 PC available or are you using the 06/07 on, or are you installing it without a PC?
Thanks for any info you can provide. I have been waiting to find out whether the "old" stuff works on the 08.
Maybe I need to make some calls tomorrow...............

Yeah I got it directly from brocks.
The pipes were the same as the previous years, the pc isnt available yet but was told by brocks that it would be fine to run it until it arives. Its cold here so Im not going to be thashing it anyway. As rich as I've seen on some posts it should be fine until it arrives.
By the way it sounds sweet!!!

on schnitz they say the 06,07 pclll will work, but without all the features available later on, the 08 pclll will be available around 12/10. brocks is probably on same time frame i would guess. i would wait for the 08 pclll unless you had one laying around to plug in.

Thanks for the info guys!
I found what you were talking about at Schnitz - the exact quote:
"*Note - The 06-07 ZX-14 Power Commanders will work on the 08 models. However, we can not be certian that future Power Commander products for the 08 will work with those Power Commanders installed on that model year.
1020-0669 Not in stock, Est. 12-10-07"
BTW, is a "certian" kinda like a Martian, except from Certs?

Well truthfully for our straight roads in this part of FL, those tire lean marks are acceptable. The whole reason I do the track stuff is not because I'm the fastest or making a career of racing, our roads are straight.
Daytona, Homestead, JenningsGP, Moroso provide the solution to twisties to go with our year round riding weather.
And it doesn't make sense to expect bigdtd to tape up and safety wire a ZX4 for a track day.

Got everything installed and took for a run this afternoon. Its LOUD, for sure!! Kinda hard to tell without hearing someone ride it. The design of the pipe puts the sound angled right to your head. Might be investing in the sound insert??
