Bently when I saw your post I thought to myself "i wonder if he can get away with a post like this" I certainly can't. The possible thought of a 08 busa out performing an 08 14 is alot more than some on this site can handle. The ONLY reason I still post here is I hope to weed through and pick up a little info for my future 14. I don't give a shit which one is faster I'll have both. I would love to take you up on your bet but my riding skills arn't that good and I've not been to the track in a couple of years. This still could still be a fun little game to get us through the winter months but there unfortunately is alot of fragile egos here.

Bently, you have had a lot of positive input on the site, meaning you are a valued member, as many are here. But it seems like you are slowly trying to become a wolf in sheeps clothing, maybe its just me not seeing it the way you are meaning the "challange" no doubt you are a very skilled rider, but to start a I challange you thread in your home looks to me like you are turning on your friends. You could just wait for some 08 14's to show up at the drag strip and run them, but you want to gamble money with the locals here. I hope im wrong, thats just what im seeing. wee

No it was in fun, see that's the problem you guys need to losen up it was not to prove anything or turn on freinds, Hell I have a bet going on with my freind right now for a steak dinner on who turns the fast and quickest pass next year on our bikes. I thought that's what freinds did sometimes have a little fun. Where was I calling anyone out or being a smart ass in my 1st post. i wasn't. And I feel I've been turned on by a couple people here as well. And I will say it again and not trying to be smart but 14s are hard to come by around here. Besides mine motormania from this site is the only one I've seen at my track and I don't expect the 08 to change that. they just don't sell here. beleive me the dealer I work at wishes they did.

You know what just forget it, if everyone is that up tight that it could not stay friendly like I mentioned in my very first post it is not worth having a little fun. I would have been 100% honest and truthful in what I ran and If I would have lost I would have sent the check out as well and even posted the results. it was suppose to be fun fun fun fun fun fun.

It isn't fun to call people names ... seemed like you were not have "fun" then, you seemed pissed.. When you were attacking me. I was just answering your "friendly challenge" and you had to start ripping on me. I am all for having fun and racing, but you over did it when you made a personal attack on me. I have been watching some of your posts you are making with your other busa buddy's posting negative stuff on the 14, why? What is your reasoning? Is the Busa forums that boring that you have to hangout here? life is to short for all your negative 14 bashing, for the most part this forum is a great group of guys who support one another. My opinion is there is no room for your negative comments in here for you.

What have I said negitive about the 14 besides in my area they don't sell and we have never seen another good running 14 here besides motormanias 14. and it's not the bike it's the riders. I have stated over and over the 99 to 07 Busa was no match for the 14. don't say shit that isn't true everyone on here knows I've always said good things about the14.

So ya i was pissed you had to post how about pinks so I can part a busa. I had the right to be pissed.
I will say sorry first. even though you where the one that jumped off subject and that was trash talking to me.
How do you think it would have went if a 14 guy made the challenge and i said lets do it on pinks so I can part a 14. I would have been jumped on by everyone on here. I'm not rich I work hard for my things and that's why the 50.00 dollar challenge not to make it hard on anyone or myself just alittle fun.

No Not at all, the 99 to 07 Busa is no match for a 14 I had two Busa's before and never turned any where close to the time I went on my 14. and my 14 our mphmy busa's by about 7 to 8 mph.

Best I went on my buddys busa this tear was 144 and went 153 on my 14 once usally 151 to 152. that shows the hp diffence right there. But his Busa dynoed 171 and my 14 dynoed 189 same day same dyno.

And Motormania does not post much on here but he is the 14 rider in this area that will put up good numbers next year. I expect if he does not change anything on his bike he will go 9.40's to low 9.50's stock wheelbase.

all i can say is i must sux ...cuz i've been beat by old busa's , 1000's, and things that i've got no clue to at a dragstrip .... did it prove anything ....proved that i'm to fat to dragrace so stick to bracket racin .... cuz i'm not turning my bike into a dragbike its a street bike....and i know what some guys call street bikes...but if you can't ride it on a 500mile trip or around the block without dragging its no streetbike ....

I'm talking same set up, same rider the 99 to 07 Busa is no match for a 14. And I rode my 14 2100 miles in 4 days then went to the track without changing anything and ran 9.40's. that's a street bike.

We did alot of backroads from Iowa to Arkansa. and did alot of twisties there then back home. This year I did 3100 miles in 5 1/2 days we left iowa went to the barber musume in al. then to pensacola flordia then to new orleans then back home.but it was on my V strom but I suppose I could have went to the track and turned a 12 something. LOL

maybe 11.0 it is a zuki ... my longest this year is 5000+ in 6 days ...several 1k days and 27k miles on the zx14 in 19 month and thats no counting miles on 3 other bikes ....but i'm sidelined from road trips pinched nerve in neck causing right arm to go numb.. i'm getting were a ride around the blocks a journey
