8.91 From Chip on Brocks busa
Well chip went 8.91 at 156.99 son Brocks busa and I don't care what bike it was on that's impressive for stock wheelbase.

I seen that also Bently..That is bad ass..It is raining here so I will not be able to run the 14 with the new alien head..Next Sunday is the last day they are open..So hopefully I will be able to run it then..

Hey I think the horsepower wars are a good thing, and i'm glad the Busa has upped its performance to make things a little more competitive.............that said i've always been a Kawi guy and dont think i'd ever own a Busa mainly because i dont like the looks and am somewhat brand loyal to Kawi...............Now if the Busa came out with a product with decent looks and SUBSTANTIALLY increased the performance say by like 20-25 horsepower more than anything else and Kawi didnt have a similarly competitive response thenm I might jump ship as loyalty is a two way street.
That being said i seriously am glad the Busa's became MORE competitive..........i'm far from a world class dragracer like Smokey, Bently, Nightmare and alot of you guys but i've probably gone about 20 times and with rider skill being fairly equal i've crushed all the Busa's and CBR 1000's i've ever raced and most of the Yahaha 1000's unless a top rider is riding...........the ZX 14's ZX 10's and GSXR's it always came down to rider skill or who got a cleaner launch, they were very competitive in my opinion..................I need a LOT MORE seat time LOL!!!!!!!

I forgot to add like Smoking and others have said I cant wait till they FINALLY compare an 08 ZX 14 to the 08 Busa instead of using the 2 year old 06 14!

I can't wait till Brock get a 08 zx14 and puts his Magic touch to it ..His Email stated we was jumping on a plane right after Gainesville and heading to the Kawi press release for the 08 zx14 !!!! Maybe in a few weeks we will have a real test of the 08s ...Not that what Ricky did was bad but with Brock we will have the same tuner, same dyno and hopefully the same riders testing these bikes on the same day ..

Are there any 08 14s in Fl this weekend? If Rick ran a low nine near eight on stock form I was looking forward to seeing some outstanding numbers from that bike this weekend.

The 08 zx14 just starting to show up at dealers here in FL ...Ricky got his earlier than us common folk ... Rickys bike needed a P/C to run right because it was way to lean ...P/Cs are not out yet for the 08 zx14 but i bet Brock will have his hands on one soon ..

Yeah he said he used a modified zx10 PC for the 06 when was testing it. So they changed the computer on the 08 too! No stone unturned.

I was there yesterday at gainsville when he got the busa down to the 8 sec mark. Brocks 2006 zx14 still ran 9.0 and If I can remember, Rickey in the 08 14 ran a either high 91 or a 9.2. Keep in mind that the busa was piped and the 08 14 was still stocked except slammed. That was Brock's Busa but that was still hauling ass.

Chip called this evening and said he had a blast. It's the first time he's ran a no-bar bike since last year at G'Ville. The guy can ride anything fast!
He liked the 'Busa and I'm thinking he said his 1/8th was a 5.76 or an 8. You folks know five seventies on a stock arm bike while foot shifting is quick.
Chip took his own 14 for his wife Kathy to ride in Street ET, she ended up with a best of 10.03, not too bad considering she hasn't raced a bike is over 5 years. Chip said now she wants her own 14.
Stock for stock it's gonna be a great battle between the '08's.
