Is the valve cover gasket one piece?

I put a "replaced parts" list of what all it took the 2nd visit to the Kawi the shop for me.... maybe that will illustrate the parts

http://www.bikeland.org/board/viewthread.php?FID=27&TID=26799

But you know what, its not anywhere close to accurate to say "all 2006 14's have this problem"

I know of many many that don't, but for the ones with the problem I've yet to see one with a permanent fix.

Is the valve cover gasket one piece? Or does it have cams seals too. I have not taken the valve cover off, bc i have not had any problems. I have about 3700 miles on it so far.

I've got about 3500 miles on my 06 14 and it has several leaks. The flush mount oil passage plugs on each side are seeping...my valve covers leaking slightly...and I have a slight leak from behind my water pump, not sure if its oil or coolant. But my bike never leaves a drip on the ground....doesn't use any fluids...and if I didn't check my bike over carefully every so often, I wouldn't even know they were there. Every kawi I've ever had has leaked somewhere...but they've always been fast and reliable. Don't let a seep here or there worry you. More than likely they'll never get worse, and won't ever present a problem

GOOD NEWS, GOOD NEWS..........Kawasaki Motors notified my dealer that there is a problem with some of the 2006 models. They told the dealer to place a certain type of bond/sealant on the gasket, replace the o-rings and replace the current bolts with longer ones so that the head cover can be tighten down better! Guess the BEAST will staying in the stable for a lot longer while.

Last month Kaw told the dealership here that there are no known problems related to oil leaks on any year model ZX14's. I'll be over that way tomorrow so I'll stop back by and see if they have received any revised reports on it.

nothing about the sealant, but the other stuff was said to my dealer the SECOND time it went in for that prob...and a list of new parts suggested by Kawi including the bolts and o-rings. watch it after 5-6000 miles and check and see if the prob is back.

maybe the sealant is the solution. the bolts and o-rings on mine weren't (after 5-6000 miles problem back). but that seems weird on a head gasket about the "sealant" thing anyway?
