To stretch or not to stretch

I use my 14 for everyday commuting and aggresive riding how much handling will I loose if I use extensions and stretch the bike. Or what should be the longest I stretch it.
Need your assistance please.

First let me ask you, why do you want to stretch it?

if you go with a four over .. if will give you a nice look, you will give up a little handling, but you still can handle well enough to hang some off ramps :-)

Mines 6 over set at 5 "and honestly, I have lost about 10%-15% cornering speed.
I was tearin it up pretty good in the mountains this summer.
At 3" over I don't think i would have lost anything to a stocker in the twisties.
Put it this way, I wouldn't trust public roads at any speed much faster than I was travelling, on any bike.

Hook on the street is ok with 28psi in the tire, as is the cornering.
With the rear tire hanging back there it needs more grip cornering and straightline, thus the change of tire pressure.
Wheelies almost non existant,

Definately get an underbraced arm if you still want good cornering.
I am amazed how stiff this swingarm is!
No flex perceptible, its at least as stiff as the stocker even though its 25% longer.

I would definately steer away from extensions if you like the twisties.
The stock arm was never designed for the extra leverage they provide, and will flex under hard cornering.

Oh, and corner exit powerslides are so damn predictable now!

I've heard of guys adding links to their chain which increase a 1/2 to 3/4 inch if that might help. Not sure if that's a good idea though... maybe someone can comment on this if they're knowledgeable on the subject.

Its better to buy a new chain,if you add links to a chain it will probably not be as strong.Just my 2 cents.
