Superstitions

Hi all,
I feel terrible, I found out that the guy that bought my ZX-14 had it stolen last week. I know it really should not bother me, but it does. I know s_it happens but I just don't like things to happen to people who buy my babies. I guess no matter how I slice it, I'm still attached.

AND MORE CRAZY THINKING.

Here is something that may surprise some out there, I know because some of the guys I ride with do the same thing. I never park my bikes with 666 on the odo, and I ride like a puss (o.k. more of a puss than normal) when that number comes up as I'm riding, and I have to admit being kept on my toes for that one mile has kept me in one piece more times than I'd like to admit.

Sorry if my superstitions will effect you all forever, just had to vent.
Rob

I do the same thing with the "666" thing, and I don't wear anything riding that I've wrecked in, ie... Watch, shoes, boots, belts, jackets, socks, underwear, etc....

I never ride a girl on the back unless I have the trusty bullet vibrator under the seat skin, it gets them everytime when you turn it on while riding there like wow why does your seat make me feel that way

If that makes you superstitous then dont ever buy a bike from my best friend, Tony in Everett. last 3 bikes he sold: '89 Katana with a bored/stroked 1200+cc Gixxer 1100 engine in it- friends wife bought if for her husband, he died 30 minutes into his first ride. '04 Vulcan bored/stroked/ ported to 120hp/120tq- 5 minutes into first ride hit a car turning left in front of him. Critical condition for 30 days, 1 year of therapy and surgeries later he can sorta walk. Bone stock absolutely mint condition '87 Gixxer 750- second trip up his road in front of his house gets off line on a wheelie and whacks a telephone poll. Still in hospital but will survive... no helmet... He's so freaked out he doesnt ever want to sell another bike to anybody lol. He'll just collectem all in his garage! thats what he tells his wife at least.

Dam, SnS
After reading this horror story, my story seems rather meaningless. I don't think Tony needs to worry Superstition that's pure bad luck. I sure would have to think twice about buying a bike from him that's for sure.

Black Magic, that's the funnest thing I've read in a long time. My wife has always had a soft spot for Harley-Davidson....slowly it's all becoming more clear.

I am the exact same way with the "666" thig...I will ride it around til it gets off of that. I will NEVER park with it like that and I will always be careful for that mile...

It does sometimes depend on my mood though.

I am not superstitious at all, but..........

2 years ago I was gassing up for a nice twisty ride in the hills on my old '96 FZR600 when another rider ask me about it being Friday the 13th. I said that it means nothing to me......and went on my ride.

I was doing too much sightseeing at took a curve too hot and decided to just cut across the gravel and get back on the other side. I went offroading and used just a little brake.....cool.......then I saw the drainage ditch.....

Went over like Superman and landed on my wrist - broke it.......bike landed on my ankle.......still hurts sometimes after 2 years......

.......still not superstitious...........

Funny,
The number 13 has always been good too me, hell my address has a 13 in it. I sure understand the hurting part, I broke my thumb in a crash in 04 and my wrist still has no feeling. The cast that held the thumb killed the nerves in my wrist.
