I lost to a stock R1..So did 1 Busa and 2 zx14 bikes
See the clip at www.rideharder.net ..The R1 is running at 185 in 5th gear..My zx14 running 180 in 5th gear.. No nos on R1.. I just changed my gear ratio again and will be running him tomorrow..we are going to get new video clips tomorrow and will placing them up on the website at www.rideharder.net. This R1 is pulling on the Dyno at 175 hp

The fastest bike in my town used to be an R1, with a 145 lb rider.
He told me he had beat all comers... until mine.
Had beaten stock zx-14's too.
At the time all I had was the pipe and pc3 flies out, I thoroughly thrashed him.... 100 ft by 150mph.
Now I put almost 200 ft on him, no dope, footshifting.... the swingarm allows me to leave really hard and stay in it right to redline every gear... It would be sick with dope and airshifting.... LOL
He was actually geared -1 frt , +2 rear, flies removed
Your buddies bike doesn't look very stock...

There is a reason for everything:
1, sounds like the R1 has pulled the wool over your eyes. Either his bike is not stock or he is juicing it
2. your bike is not tuned properly
3. You need to learn how to ride
I have not seen a R1 dyno over 160 rwhp. Hell even the mags don't rate the R1 with that much hp.
Get your self together and check the tuning of your bike, ensure the 2ndaries flies are out and your a/f is no leaner then 13: to 1. Use stock gearing if you are going to run this top end stuff

There was an r1 at my track yesterday running 9.70s lowerd and strapped and Brocks sidewinder. They can be very fast bikes.

I know the guy with the R1. He rides with a group on Sunday morning. Says his bike is stock but I doubt it. He owns a bike mod shop. He is very fast and does beat ZX14's

Man put me on your bike and I'll show you how it is really supposed to run. I don't give a damn how bad it is tuned. You were supposed tp run away from him like he was sitting still. I'll put my bike on his ass!

Replying to your comment ..He's out pulling ZX14's, I got my bike running like I want it, its pushing 191 on the GPS today in 5th gear. I tried to contact the guy on the R1 today 4 times because the rain stopped, he didn't return my calls.As soon as I get a chance to run him again, I will post and tell you how it went. I am running the Ivan TRE with the flies out, I have the bike lowered an inch, stearing dampener, nitrous, power commander and lcd screen, multiple hub. It's been Dyno'd with and without nitrous, ordered exhaust from Japan that they use on the race bikes. So with all this your trying to say that if that R1 that passed me doesn't have 175 hp. Gear ratio that I ran him last was 17 on the front and 41 on the back and i ran him one time before with a gear ratio of 17/44, which he pulled like 3 bike lengths in front.
He out ran 3 ZX14's. NOT JUST MINE!

all 3 of ya suck ...or its built ...but still i can video you my zx14 runnin 190 in 4th with 16/43 gearing .... i've done run r1 with riders that wasn't squided out and ...GUESS WHAT.... The R1 ran outa TQ at 150mph true gps 150mph
