Fuel conservation

Well the first post went well.

Try this 1..

How can we save fuel.

1. Don't ride the bike.
2. ?

Any additional suggestions would be appreciated.
Bring it on!

I would say ride it like an old man, but for me, at 68, that just dont seem to work. I will be using less fuel in my ZX14 now that I also have a C14 to play with. Usually less right wrist means better mileage. Ever ride a Honda Valkyrie? 6 cylinders, 6 carbs, and anything over 3500 rpm she gets extremely thirsty. lowest 17 mpg and highest about 40. Anyway the fun quotent goes waaaaay down when you putt putt around, buy a Bergman.

Hell I am 40... Some days I feel like an old man.
Thanks for the input!
I guess there is hope yet for me...
I was kinda wondering today how long I could keep riding. I really enjoy the sport.
I started off on dirt bikes. Rode all summer long.
I hope I can ride when I am eighty with ease.

Getting back to riding like an old man.
Nope not in the cards.

after doing some afr testing on my bike , , cruising at hwy speed is at 10% throttle thru 4500 rpm .

you can lean up the numbers in the 10% column at 3k-4k to get some economy ....

unless you ride wide open all the time , in which case nothing will help.

Unfortunately there probably isn't a technique to use to conserve fuel that will not diminish the "fun factor" of the bike so you might as well get a second job delivering pizzas to cover the cost of fuel.

Who cares, worry about it in your car, not a sportbike! They're for fun, not saving money.
