Come on guys, hell I've been 168mph indicated on a '03 636 a few times. Before you die, you have to get your 14's at the limiter atleast 1x! 100mph crash will have same results as 190mph crash practically, so don't say it's too fast if you've been over 100mph already..lol Ofcourse do it on flat, clear distance, no traffic road.

187 according to my GPS, before I went up down one and up two in the back...now I can't get past 168 GPS, only because the speed limiter kicks in...which is fast enough for me anyway...don't wanna bother with the speedo healer in any case. ( I know it won't work right anyway with that gearing)

As fast as it will go right from day one! ..... many many times! LOL
It had 100km of loaded rollons, 3 heat cycles, 1hr run time, and then a buried speedometer !

Speedo limiter. Don't know how smart it was doing it on pilot roads. Think I had enough of the Top Speed stuff.

175 mph indicated without violating the speed limits Couldn't go any faster since with my tank bag I can't get my helmet completely behind the screen and eventually the front end becomes too light to go safely any faster.

It was covered at some length in September 2006 on this forum but here it is again if you missed it.
The meeting was Judgement Day 9 at Woodbridge, Suffolk, England. It's a 2 mile runway where we get 1.25 miles to accelerate before the timing equipment. The bike is standard wheelbase and unopened engine, modifications allowed for the class I run in are as follows: TiForce exhaust system, Power Commander running a GT Motorcycles custom map, Secondary butterflies removed, Speedo Healer, 18/41 gearing, lowered front and rear. Other bits changed are mirrors off, a double-bubble screen and tail tidy. The meeting had a strong tail wind which obviously assisted. At the next meeting in May 2007 in normal conditions I went 203.1mph on 17/40 gearing just to confound the doubters.
I'd love to run the Texas mile but realistically it ain't gonna happen, just too far from England. The Class 2 record (unopened engine as above, no turbo's or nitrous) at Woodbridge is 210.2mph, held by a good old ZX-12R, so I've a way to go yet.

I saw 160 and was still rolling on before my brain registered what I was doing. I know the speedos aren't spot on, but sh*t that's fast and too damn easy to do on this bike!

I would think 155 would be plenty enough to piss 'em off! You obviously ride with your invisibility shield on also, lol

damn I think I hit 150 nearly every time i ride. Seriously. Of course I'm a maniac. But i can hit 140 just passing a friggin semi on a local highway in the sticks out here. Top speed though? been to 180 once indicated, did it really really easy, too! course with my weight the bike is basically 'lowered' about an inch or so more than your little butts could get it! will find out the 'true' top speed soon enough, just need a GPS. I have no doubt it will be 186-188 where it will smack the limiter. And my goals are 200 with mirrors. not sure how to get there yet, but I will!

I've hit 160 on the speedometer, and I really want to take it all the way some time soon....I guess now they can steal my bike and endorsement for 30 over the limit...

uhmm...I thought I'd get away with my comments without being called out 'cuz I'm an on my bike

Mike I look forward to seeing you again, if the weather holds out Wednesday I may try a QSL early arrival and TSB late run. May be tough from St Pete to Brandon, I may have to exceed the speed limit by 1 MPH on the bridges to do it

On a secluded, empty private road up here, I had bounced the speed limiter almost daily.
Now with the speedo healer at -18%, 17-44 gears hits the REV limiter at 188 MPH.
I have done that almost daily as well. This bike is the most stable, confidence inspiring bike I have ever ridden, especially for one without any damper!..
A Fantastic marvel of engineering really!
