Close Call
Had a close call sunday afternoon.. Some idiot pulled out in front of me and stopped.. I was going about 50mph on Broad St in Philadelphia and this guy just pulls out from a side street and stops..
My mind went into slow motion as 3 choices popped up in my head. Try to go around the back, Stand up on the pegs and prepare to be launched or say FUCK IT and try to go around the front.. I opped for the last and made it by a foot.. Usaually on Broad st or any street in Philly I chill.. But I was getting a little frustrated looking for a friends house and had pulled over about 3 times looking for directions.. I have to get me a Bluetooth for the helmet...

i am lost here, what did you end up doing? you made it by foot? how did you do that, what happened to the bike

Glad you survived bro. I am a Philly native now in Central Florida so I know Broad Street real well. Where you on a section of Broad street where everybody parks in the center median? Philly is a crazy place to ride a bike given the the condition of the streets, idiots in cars and everything else. Anyway, glad you didn't go down man... After living and riding up there I can't b......about traffic or anything on the roads here.

I ended up just gunning it past the front bumper and missed the car by a foot.. Almost had to pull over and walk around for a minute cause my legs got tight from nerves... LOL
Oh and why i said BLUETOOTH, is because everytime i pulled over i was calling her on the phone. Pulling my helmet down and screaming so she could hear me.. I think we all have done that..
The speed limit on Broad St is a posted 35 and 45MPH, depending were you are on it.. Trust me I usually always do the speed limit on Broad st. It is known to be a BIKE KILLER..
Last night I was going to the video store, I got the green light and looked up and watched this lady in an SUV blow through the red light and look at me with a shocked look when she realized what she had done.. If I would have just went when my light changed she would have hit me.. i wonder if I'm that much of an idiot when i drive my car?
I rode around for another 20 mins. Can't ride always thinking "WHAT IF" so I just keep on going...
