Alien Head exhaust help, please.

Anyone else order the Alien Head Conversion Kit from Brock? I got mine today, but it didn't fit. Anyone else have a problem? Any advice appreciated.

I have videos of both the Gen3 and Alien Head exhaust if anyone wants them. The alien head I just put on to hear since I couldn't get it to fit right. :-/

It looks as if you can slide the pipe further on the headers and also slide the muffler down some as well or is it bottomed out?

Both shiny pieces that came with the kit (connector pipe and alien head) were slid on as far as they can go. I had high temp silicon in there and could see I had it in all the way when I removed the pieces.

Brock wrote back to me and said it looks like I got one of the pipes that were too long. They're overnighting me the correct one.

That's customer service! The man, himself, dropping me a note. :thumbs up:

Yes, Brock has my business PERIOD! He called me on two different occasions to check on my parts installed and how things were going back in '06 when he first came out with parts for the bike. Now that is customer support.

Hawkman,

Can you email me the videos? I order the alien head from brock and it has arrived at my house but I am still deployed. I will not get to hear the AH or put on all my new gadgets until I go home for R&R in Feb. I can't wait. I am going through withdrawls.

Emails sent. To get a good idea, you have to hear the Gen3 video first. The Alien is a monster! Sounds mean! You'll notice in the video me stepping away from the exhaust when I revved it the last few times. When you get it on, you'll see why. LOL

So what up smoke? Did you get it on yet. Well never mind! Just let me know what you think once you put her to the test. Also, can the SMEG be converted to the alien head?

Boy this thing is small !!! I'm was suprized that it is not any louder than the Smeg ...I could drive this on the street no problem... I will be testing it next week test and tune and see how she does .One plus is I got to toss some unwanted weight , lost the rear foot peg ..Smokin..

I installed my alien head last night. JEESUS. That thing is loud, and sounds like an F1 car at full blast! Wow. Even louder than I thought. Feels more buck in the back of my seat, and the weight savings is just ludicrous! Mine fit a little odd at first, then I slid my exhaust on a little more till it felt. My issue was that the spacer to fit the muffler to the frame; the bolt wasnt long enough! another 1/4 to 1/2 inch on the bolt would make it fit better. Thats my only complaint. And also, use a ratchet wrench with a pivot joint before the socket, and it allows much easier installation and removal of the new header unit. Just my .02 from spending 10 hours on it last night.

GREAT JOB BROCK. I LOVE THIS PIPE! SICK SICK SICK!!!
