08 ZX14
Just got some info from someone I know who is in Vegas who has PLENTY of experience riding and racing ZX14's and was told "quote" the 08 feels noticeably stronger... No hard numbers but according to his butt dyno it feels stronger

OK, I figured that they would give it a little more horsepower to keep up with the Busa. The big question for me is did they change the bodywork, suspension or chassis any?
I am waiting to get a quote to buy back my wrecked bike from the insurance company. I want the Ohlins shock etc off the bike but only all that stuff will work on the 08.
Any news on that?

I don't suspect any major changes...
A few HP, and maybe with any luck lighter wheels would be a treat!
Major chasis changes extremely unlikely... you'll be safe to buy the old one for parts..
Literbikes outsell the big bores by about 20-1, and thus the lack of timely development.

TRUST me the person of whom I am speaking would know better then anyone if the bike is faster i will give you a little hint his initials are RG the ONLY info i got was the bike felt stronger I got no info on the looks or anyhting else if I were to guess I would say that like Kawisaki has led us to believe probably an extra 6-10 HP just enough to keep up with the new busa

and I personally dont plan on trading MY 14 for either a busa or a new 14 I bet mine makes more power on motor then either one of them, well let me correct this statement If the heads are interchangeable from the 06 to the 08 I might trade if there are some cosmetic differences and any weight shaving

fba buy one and give these folks an opinion if its all that. ios your 14 wore out yet? how many miles is on it? mine has high mileage at 12,500 but it doesn't seem touched. i didn't intend to keep it but a year though.

Naw -- she's got 16k miles...shreds tires like they don't exist and is by far the fastest and funnest thing I've ever owned. She has some slight bogging at instant WOT in the higher gears, but no power loss and still pulls my arms right out of their sockets at any speed. She runs well and handles like a dream. Brakes are shuddering up front a bit, but i had the same issue on the 10R way back before they changed the rotors under warranty. I don't really spend money on much, but I'm passionate about bikes, so when there's something new...I spend. I could think of worse ways to piss money away...
BTW, I meant 08 ZX14, not Busa...I don't think I can ever get past that Micky Mouse butt...
The guy that posted that rear end Micky Mouse photo fucked me real good and now I have recurring nightmares about that thing when I sleep ...:might have to go see a shrink now.:P

thanks for the info! I really intended to get rid of my 14 after a year but nothing is totally exciting me to the point to trade (maybe a litre bike/ '08 14 will who knows but so far the busa doesn't). I've never kept a bike as long as I've held this '06 model.

I know -- you've been saying that for a while now. I guess you love it as much as I do mine...I also never bought the same bike twice (except for the Busa) and I'm about to do that with the 14. Damn I love this bike!

Slipper clutch must be one of the things on the new 08 -- it's already on my C14.

No matter what they do , it won't touch this....
I just compared my bike to a friends stock 14 with out using my NOS, and there is NO comparison with the arm on it. NONE AT ALL!
In the 1/8th mile I have about 170-200 feet on him.... all motor and pipe.
Totally different animal YET AGAIN LOL
