08 busa is selling like hotcakes
Lees performance ordered 30 and a fellow their said most were presold. my local cycle shop ordered 9 and 8 have been spoken for. I can't believe the cult following suzuki has!

Busa aready has the R&D on that engine, Simple bore and stroke with maybe a better head and cam. Looks like all the old parts will fit. It's a FACTORY BIG BLOCK with warranty.
Old busa out sold the zx12 and zx14 even last year when the zx14 stomped it in performance. Now with the busa atleast equal if not having the edge the Busa will be a sellor.

My dealer sold all of his 07 zx14 awhile back .....But if you want a 07 Busa they have pleanty of them collecting dust..

Its really ugly that busa thing. as nice they made the 1000 gixxer, so horrible is the new busa.

Means didly in the bigger picture...how many busa's sold last year? believe me it's a number Kawasaki dreams they could sell. I hope the 14 is a success so it can breed competion across all brands in the big bore world

Kawasaki dealer show is on right now in Vegas. Check their website or reports from media about what the 08 ZX14 is all about. More HP...hehe

The Hayabusas have been selling like hotcakes anyhow. I wonder how many "new" customers will be buying the new Hayabusa, or will they just be flipping the base. I suspect current 'busa owners will be flipping like mad for a while so to not be embarassed any more by the 14. The resale value of the older 'busa has just plummeted in a huge way.

When i bought my zx14 about 2 months ago the dealer had a black one with 1500 miles going for about $9000. i can see if they still have it

the '08 busa will outsell the ZX14 by a HUGE VAST HUGE margin. At least 10:1!!!
Suzuki has built a 'busa brand loyalty untouchable by any manufacturer.
To the advanatage of 14 owners, there's not a 14 around every corner.

The Busa started having a cult following back when it first came out in "99", when the fastest bike up to that point was the ZX-11 and the Blackbird, which was suppose to be replacing the ZX-11 as the fastest production bike but actually the Blackbird was about as fast as a ZX-11 but the price tag was like $11,999 for the Blackbird (way too high). Then the Busa was introduced in "99". Now here was a 1300cc bike selling for just over $10,000 and was running away from anything on the road, with ease. That right there is what did it for the Busa. How could you not get a 1300cc bike that was selling for that cheap of a price. That was a bargain. From then on, nothing has been able to outsell the Busa . I even wanted one for myself but everybody and their grandaddy had one, so I just held on to my ZX-11. Glad I did because when the 14 came out, it was everything I was looking for in a bike. Now I run away from Busa's with ease. Patience is indeed a virtue!

go to Kawasakis website and click on the kawasaki live link and for like 10 seconds you can see a picture of the 08 14 in the background it is blue looks to have the same seat but ZX10 style headlights

correction: it is not under the live link it is on the main page once you click to enter the site the banner in the middle that has a bike with a black covering on it off to the left in the background you will see it for like 1 seconds then it changes to another computer

It's good to have a bike that everybody's not riding, like they do the Busa. Everywhere you go, you see a Busa. I'll take a 14 over a Busa anyday. 14's a much better ride.

Have you read that they added balance shafts? Isn't it a stroked version of the same engine? Didn't the write-ups say that it would be a bit buzzier due to longer stroke after an interview with Suzuki engineers? Have you ridden one? Is it smoother somehow? Do tell.

american automakers betrayed the brand loyalty they had by building complete junk for far too many years. the only reason the big three and hd are still in buisness is because of government handouts and political favors. at least the japs still believe in capitolism and build competitive products for an open market
