It means nothing because both bikes weren't tested on the same day, etc...

You are talking about a 08 Busa press bike dynoed at the track and a dealer purchased zx14, I would bet the zx14 press bikes were tuned better than the dealer bikes everyone has, why do you think we all waited 4 to 5 months on them while they detuned them to bring them into the country, I hope he dyno's a run in hard 08 zx14 press bike at the track like he did the Busa.

no, I hope he has both bikes there on the SAME day to dyno back to back!

For comparo sake, my ZX14 with slipons made 171 rwhp SAE and the same day 8 Busas best dyno was 158. That's a good comparo!!

FYI: Our BEST 99-07 bolt-on Busa EVER made 178 RWHP on our dyno...most make 172-175 RWHP. I can run high 9.30's@150 stock wheelbase foot shifting on them because you can get a Busa lower than the 14.

As far as I'm concerned, the 14 has had no competition in the bolt-on market since it arrived as I have never run in the 9.20's on a stock engine Busa....much less a 9.20.

It will be interesting to see what a properly set-up 08 will do.

The Kawasaki dealer show was today...rumors were flying that the 08 ZX-14 has more steam EVERYWHERE......looks like the new ZX-10 is a killer also?

I don't know why everyone is so pissed at the {other] sides ride. {the busa boards are the same} With out these two monsters out there would be no horsepower war that each and everyone here gets to benifit from. If goverment regulations don't kill this, in 10 years there is no telling what suk and kaw will have produced. I remember in 94 i thought nothing would ever be made faster than my zx11. I rode my friends 99 busa and boy was i wrong, then comes the 06 zx14 a little faster then 08 busa {appears to be a little faster} maybe the 08 14 raises the bar again? You've got to admit this is alot of fun!

Duncan you just won the Common Sense Crown!! I will willingly give it up to you, damn thing never fit right on me anyways.
Every half dozen or so years there is a big leap in performance in the big bike category. Luckily for us Suzuki isnt making that leap right now. They simply are playing catchup to us. Give them another couple years and all bets are off, though. And the 08 14 will no doubt level the bar at where ever the Busa sets it. These kind of slow motion fights are pretty annoying compared to the cutting and jabbing being done at the 600 and 1000 levels, but man when the heavyweights land a blow its felt for awhile. And I love bloodshed!

quote]Fish it don't mean squat ... Well that's what the Busa guys have been saying about the zx14 for 1 1/2 years ...Hell if they can say the 14 HP the zx14 had over the Busa isn't squat why can't we say the 8 HP they have over the zx14 isn't squat ....

14 + 8 = 22hp , surely the 08 busa didn't get a 22 hp increase.
Where are these numbers coming from?

Obviously not to discredit anyone, esp. Brock, but that's the reason I say we needed a stock used ZX14 on that dyno, THAT day!!! I would assume Brock KNOWS his own dyno very well and how it reacts on a daily basis, so you gotta hand that to Brock too!! He knows what he's doing.
