Mirrors
I scratched my one mirror and would like to spray paint it. How do you take the plastic part behind the mirror off? I did take the screw out inside the plastic shell but it is still stuck to the mirror.
Thanks Riaan

Can't you just mask it and paint it?

Are you sure? There is a screw inside that I took out. Does it clip in and will it brake when you take it apart?

Are you talking about removing the mirror from the housing? If they are made like the ZX12R mirrors, the mirror portion has a ball on it that pops into a socket in the main mirror housing. Pull out straight and hard.

Sorry only saw your threat now. Yes I would like to separate the mirror from the housing.
As mentioned before, there is a screw inside the housing, but you have to push the screwdriver through the opening to get hold of the screw. When you look closely you do see a ball in the housing. I wonder if it's not the same then as a zx 12's mirrors. Does a zx 12 and the 14's mirrors look the same? Tried to separate it but was to scared to brake the housing.
