Has anyone maxed out the injectors?

Took my bike to a dyno to see if my a/f was safe with nitrous. I had added 15% with a 40hp jet. The plugs looked alright but the a/f read around 13.3, so we tried to richen it up and couldn't get it much better. Then we saw that the duty cycle on the injectors was going to 100%. So no matter how much fuel we threw at it, it stayed the same. I haven't heard of anyone having this problem yet.

It was pushing 70-72% duty cycle on motor, that just seems high to me. could I need a bigger fuel pump? Is there a way to check the flow of the fuel pump? The bike only has 2200 miles on it so the injectors should be clean since I occasionally run oxygenated fuel through it and drain it often.

Yep, I've sprayed 100 dry on top of my 210hp motor w/out maxing out on duty cycle.

When dynoing the operator needs to block off or crimp off the fresh air system.

when you say fresh air system, you mean the tube above the engine that goes into the bottom of the air box? I have that plugged.

crank, pistons, port work, valve springs

need to pinch off the tube from the air box to the pair valve that injects air into the exhaust ports

sounds like you have the crankcase breather blocked

where does the pair valve hose go into the airbox? the hose I have plugged goes into the airbox right above the spark plugs. I plugged it with the red plug included with my brock's pipe.

Chip, I am assuming that is stock bore 13.5 CR pistons??? I hope if that is a 1417 it is making more power then that...

if you guys can think of anything that could possibly cause this, I will check it. Any help is greatly appreciated. There has to be a restriction or something. I'm at 100% duty cycle at 230hp and I'm reading about guys with turbo's making 300+hp with the stock fuel system.

I'm going to check the fuel pump as described in the manual. I highly doubt that's the problem with only 2200 miles on the bike.

I'm making 400hp with stock injectors. I do have an aftermarket high pressure fuel pump though.

Lower compression pistons, stock bore, built for NOS not motor power...apples and oranges.

It'd make much more if I put MR9 or MRX01 into & and an oem tire. That 210 is on C16 with a Shinko tire.

Sorry Mark they apparently are too busy stroking each other, I havent seen it but I'm familiar with air 'injection' systems. they simply add clean air to the exhaust dillute the emissions parts per million. look for a tube that goes from your airbox (should be after the filter, breather tube from crank plugs in to airbox before the filter) to your exhaust, might be a actual air pump hooked up inline, not sure, but it has too hook up to your exhaust by your oil pan. just back track it. the plug that damn thing with the Brock red plug. good luck

Air valve is located on the top front of the valve cover (some call it the pair valve). Hose from it to the air box runs on the right side (throttle side) of the underside of the air box.

I've got that hose plugged. I think maybe the dyno operators air/fuel sniffer was not working right. Going to a different dyno this week.
