You need to click on the FAQ link below the HOME in the upper task bar and scroll down to the
"What are the BB codes for this board?" section and then look for -

IMG BB Code Format:

It will tell you how to format your link above so that it appears as an image and not a link.

will the real Jeff Martin step forward lol. you need to use these brackets before and after your http address.
IMG BB Code Format: A SPACE IS LEFT between the "IMG" and the " ] " bracket so you can see it without it showing up as a picture. dont put a space there.

"harley truck" must be a volkswagen powered trike with Springer forks and gas tank lol. For some reason HD riders seem to think its ok to put a VW engine out of a hippy-mo-bile from the sixties into a 'trike' but modern japanese or european bikes are a no-no.

Oops wrong forum for dissing the viagra crowd. Or is there a wrong forum for that? heh heh

Thats because they need something to work on all the time or there hands get dry. Thats why Harley riders wave there hands toward the groung there catching parts flying off bikes coming at them. We have a Buell club here and a friend on his GXR and myself on a 14 found out the club was riding in our back yards (north Cascade Mountains) so we waited and chased them up the pass, Passed them 36 bikes, Stopped waited for them.. Passed them again. This happened 4 times... The last time two of them gave it there all and one dude stuffed it into the bush he said the belt broke. Harley motors and sport bikes dont mix.

damn jeff you getting desperate for some competition or what?? picking on poor slow cruisers like that. "Hey KID, give me that candy!" lol So you live up in my neck of the woods? I'm just north of Seattle out in Granite Falls. Your town must be near Diablo Dam, huh? one of my favorite rides. Gotta hook up sometime, I'll bring my friends and you can show us the local roads. Or WE can show you your local roads lol. Though your Buell buddies might want to stay home, those HD motors tend to overheat trying to keep up with my friends 636 Kawi. lol I'm smelling a challenge as soon as they hear that. Seriously though, send me a PM if interested in a ride. Damn weather permitting of course.

Your correct i live in diablo. The last Buell challenge i was offered i showed up on my gold wing.. 04.. 1800 and was laughed at until they saw me in winthrop 4 mins ahead of them. They wanted to spank my 929 2001 but the goldwing did the job i never heard a word back. As far as showing you the roads, Well the 14 is rock solid but the 929 is much more flickable, And living in diablo is so remote dont have many riding friends so stop by any time.

sounds good, my number is 425-345-5544. Sounds like a plan though. this weekend is supposed to be a rainout. we'll see. I also have a TL1000R (my avatar) that is my flick machine. But now that I got the 14 I barely ride it. Kinda a tossup, the 14 is a bit slower to transition, and takes more effort to get down low, but not so much it cant easily recover on the straights. Dont know, a toss up. You know what I mean? Anyways, pm your cell or give it here and we can hookup. Though if you bring a 'wing' on the ride you will regret it- no matter how good you are on it! Though that is some funny shit right there, heh heh. Buells...

your right i would regret riding the wing, With some folks that Know how to ride a bike but man its comfy, Getting older now thats more important than it used to be. I also have a 2006 KLR-650 set up for moto, Its fun as hell just hold the trottle open and wait for the next corner repeat repeat repeat. Next spring i would love to hook up and ride the cascade loop with some people that understand the passion of motorcycling. Email- Captain86@juno.com send me your number there if you would so i dont loose it.

The cascade loop lol my friends did that loop starting and ending in Everett around your way and coming back across I 90. in 2 hours!!!!!!!!!! before going to work! they started out with 20 bikes, but only 3 arrived together. averaging something like 120mph. past 2 cops at different times, and both times the cops never even tried pursuing them-- but they busted the stragglers, though. Good thing they didnt admit to knowing who those guys were in the front lol. Too bad I missed that ride. Didnt think we could make it to work on time and I couldnt afford to be late again. they actually had everyone acknowledge and repeat this mantra, "no waiting for stragglers, we dont know each other, we are not racing, and there is a good chance a few of us will not have licenses after today." And everyone was prewarned that the chances of not making it back in one piece were gonna be extremely high. Full bore all the way to I 90, then more or less legal the rest of the way. 2 hours! 3 fill ups. We will be doing the same run next spring, or this fall if we have a nice warm week preceding it (we cant take the chance of moisture on the road in the shaded areas). 2 of the group will preride it the day before looking for road conditions.
So you up for it?? Or do you want to do a normal ride with us first? Again, I must stress, most of the guys I ride with are very very experienced riders, no chickenstripes allowed, and you better know your brakes well because we use them pretty hard coming into most corners. that causes alot of newer riders problems because they are used to 'setting up' for each corners speed before they get there.
We go on quite a few rides, and normally we are safe and sane most of the time. we just have certain sections of each road where its balls out. None of us can afford many more tickets before we have to start bus'ing to work lol. Just that a few rides are pretty hardcore. Mt Baker's top half, Mt St. Helens the whole way (the best roads ever, 40 + miles of sweepers and switchbacks, with great visibility on nearly all of it). and the loop run, our most dangerous ride as you know well I'm sure. The group normally schedules out of PNWriders.com so sign up there and keep looking. I'll PM you here if I see anything planned, but I dont go there much anymore so... keep checking. You will probably need to show your skills a bit before they allow you to ride with the fast group. Questions? PM me
