Stretched on the street

Man, I didn't realize how easily the back tire would spin on the street after stretching my 14. I aint gonna be able to go to the track tonight to test it out because I gotta work, but on the street all I do is spin in the first 2 gears and on certain pavement it breaks loose in 3rd. It's kinda fun, but I'd like to feel it bite so I can get used to it before I race it. Guess I'll have to wait.

how much air is in your tire? I run 11 psi with the tire cold (shinko usoft) and it will still spin on the street a little. but it hooks at the track

I've watched a bikeland member fishtail all over the place through the gears while riding his stretched 14 on the street every time we took off from a stop, was awesome!

you'll never hook with 40 psi. you'll probably have to go down to around 15 psi maybe lower. depends what tire you have.

I'm at 6 1/2 over. Should be close to 7 when the new chain stretches. You might be ok at 4 over.

are you stretched fellas lowered too?

My biggest problem is braking hard. Yes, I use the rear brake.(very short track after the traps!) Back tire locks up really easy when on the brakes hard. Just keep that in mind if you are stretching.

I'm 9" over and LOVE IT!

Put a pilot power on the front rim and you won't have to worry about the back brakes!

steve, I got one on the front already. I like using my front and rear brakes. I warped the front rotors on my 12 at this same track. I'm trying to avoid that...not to mention, I think its real important to know just how much brake(front and rear) I can give this monster before it starts sliding.

BTW steve, I thin you skinny guys can stop a lot quicker than me

Yeah, mine is lowered 1 1/2 inches in the front and about 2 and a 1/2 in the back, it will go lower as soon as I get the arm on, and the new oil pan... Then Im going to get the forks cut, so I dont have to worry about slammin my front fender at the track....
